- Its official, Martell Webster has been resurrected in Washington. The former sixth overall pick, straight out of high school in 2005, has found a home with the Wizards after being a disappointment in his previous two stops in the NBA, Minnesota and Portland. This is a big move for the Wizards because after they found a backup point guard for John Wall in Eric Maynor, resigning Webster became their number one priority. He is dynamite in the Wizards’ offense, literally supplying chunks of points at a time, with his three point virtuoso shooting. Last year, Webster averaged career highs of 11.4 points, 3.9 rebounds, and shot 42.2 percent from beyond the three-point line, ranking 12th in the NBA.
