OKLAHOMA CITY -- The Denver Nuggets were riding their longest winning streak of the season when they strolled into Oklahoma City on Wednesday. They were expected to provide a battle for the top team in the Western Conference. Instead, the Nuggets learned a lesson in just how big the gap is between them and the Thunder. Oklahoma City dismantled Denver 117-97 at Chesapeake Energy Arena. "We didn't have a good offensive game, we didn't have a good defensive game," Denver coach George Karl said. "We didn't have a good energy game. They seem to be the hungry team from the very beginning. You are playing maybe the best team in basketball. They played with a high level of commitment and they wanted to kick our butts. And they did." Denver (24-17) saw its run of wins end at six games, and the Nuggets dropped eight games behind Oklahoma City (31-8) in the Northwest Division standings. Russell Westbrook led all scorers with 32 points on 12-for-20 shooti...

Russell Westbrook a fan of Ke$ha?

Russell Westbrook a Ke$ha fan? I think so. The Thunder guard was caught lip-syncing to Ke$ha’s “Die Young” prior to OKC’s game against the Mavericks on ESPN:

Nike launches KDIsNotNice campaign

Kevin Durant is not nice. At least that is what Nike would like you to believe. Durant has recently come under fire for his actions on the court. Last week, Durant was ejected from a game for the first time in his career after a home loss to Brooklyn. Then, a text message from his grandmother scolded him for his colorful language after the Thunder defeated Phoenix on Monday...

Thunder snap Nuggets' win streak

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Russell Westbrook scored 32 points, Kevin Martin had 20 and the Oklahoma City Thunder snapped Denver's six-game winning streak by beating the Nuggets 117-97 on Wednesday night. Kevin Durant added 20 points and tied his career high with five steals as NBA-best Oklahoma City led wire-to-wire for just the second time this season. The Thunder opened a 16-point...

State of the Thunder: Taking opportunities

OKLAHOMA CITY With the Thunder running away from the Denver Nuggets Wednesday night, the Oklahoma City bench got some major minutes. The Thunder led by as many as 28 points and all five starters got to sit and watch the entire fourth quarter. That meant another opportunity for DeAndre Liggins and Reggie Jackson. It meant another night on the bench for Eric Maynor. Thunder coach...

Kevin Durant Throws Down Vicious Two-Handed Slam On Nuggets

Kevin Durant is without-a-doubt the NBA’s best young talent, and with highlights like the one he put on the Denver Nuggets Wednesday night, it’s hard to argue any different. During the second quarter of a very lopsided game between KD’s Oklahoma City Thunder and the Denver Nuggets, Durant drove past Kenneth Faried and slammed home a powerful two-handed dunk. Serge Ibaka returns from chest injury, blocks five shots

Serge Ibaka's streak of missed games ended at two Wednesday. Ibaka played 27 minutes and blocked five shots, but his offense was lacking. Ibaka scored just five points (2-5 FG and 1-1 FT) to go along with six rebounds and an assist. It's good to see him back in action, and he should be in all lineups going forward.

Taj Gibson and Kevin Durant have Posterize opponents

Oklahoma City star Kevin Durant is once again in the middle of the MVP race and last night he had a MVP type play. Last night in the Thunder’s 102-90 win over the Suns Durant had a monster jam. Late in the 4th quarter Durant beat Michael Beasley off the dribble and dribbled towards the rim. Marcin Gortat tried to stop Durant but Durant just went over Gortat and dunked on him. Gortat...

Nuggets-Thunder Preview

When two of the NBA's hottest teams meet Wednesday night in Oklahoma City, one thing seems like a certainty: a lot of points. The Thunder look for their fifth straight win and 10th in 12 games as they face the Denver Nuggets, who put their season-high six-game winning streak on the line. Both clubs rank near the top of the league in scoring with Oklahoma City at 105.1 points...
