Many Celtics fans wondered why former Celtic Keyon Dooling signed with the Memphis Grizzlies instead of the Boston Celtics after coming out of retirement. Its all about money. Sean Grande tweeted Doc Rivers' comments on why Dooling is not currently a Celtic: Doc on Keyon Dooling singing with Memphis; “we wanted to [sign him] but couldn’t because of the buyout. He would have been with us." — Sean Grande (@SeanGrandePBP) March 27, 2013 The "buyout" that Doc is referring to is the $400,000 that the Celtics paid to Dooling when they waived him and he retired, according to Mark Deeks. Keyon Dooling received a $400,000 buyout from the Celtics when he retired. Jordan Williams received $420,000 from Atlanta. — Mark Deeks (@MarkDeeksNBA) October 30, 2012

Hip pointer won’t keep KG out of Game 3

Last year's Eastern Conference Finals were far from over when the Celtics fell behind 0-2 in Miami

On May 30th of last year Rajon Rondo played the game of his life.  But it wasn't enough, and the Celtics lost Game 2 of the Conference Finals to the Heat, 115-111 in OT.  That put the C's in an 0-2 hole heading back to Boston.  I'll be the first to admit, I had given up.  After watching one of the greatest individual performances I'd ever seen come up just short...

According to Chris Vernon, Gasol will be named the 2012-13 Defensive Player of the Year. Gasol, in terms of traditional stats, doesn’t necessarily impress. He averaged just 1.7 blocks, 1.3 a game behind league leader Serge...

Children's was caring for nine kids that got injured in the bombings, and the wish list was for toys and games that the kids can use during their time there. A friend of mine...

Live Game Updates - Game 2

8:40: With one minute left in the first quarter tonight, the Celtics led 20-17. But now, after the first buzzer has gone off, they somehow trail 26-20. It takes a lot of effort just to do that bad. They better have a big run to open the second or else they'll be in a lot of trouble. That was absolutely ridiculous.
