........................that we remember of going through loseing to lower tier teams but back to being posed as one of the elite in the east.or just a fluke with jeremy lin coming in causing a temporary Knicks adrenilin burst but evolving back to lower-mid tier status.? is this thread already outdated b/c the knicks are now the real deal in which the entire league fears to play.?tell me yes this thread is obselete and we are a confirmed juggarnut of the east.Could jeremy lin keep this level of play?is he the knicks very near future "4th star" are we the miami heat of 2012 or the philadephia eagles of this past season with a bunch of league stars that just dont mesh.......(are analogies outside of basketball appropriate, lol?)
is coach mike finally equipped with a team to meet his coaching system needs?could his system , full throttle go beyond 2nd round in the east? could this be his time to blossem (with 4 stars) and strong, productive role players (novac, fields, harrelson, shumpert, jeffries and maybe baron davis).
one thing is with the return of stat/melo, we gain a notch in our bench quality, by mathmatics, which was getting killed by opposing benches prior to "LinMania".
I think we are doing a great job on the intagables, diving for loose balls, shumpert is showing signs of being a problem for teams in that. we really seem to be taken better care of the boards lately a key to that is incredable help from our guards and not to mention tyson who brings the knicks back to having a monster in the middle, a NY void for about a decade (and I'm pretty confident most of you choose not to remember the eddy curry era)
our defense has evolved to be average (but building) with leaders like jeffries, shumpert and chandler, NEEDS to be a focus especially with the mello, amare returning who historically havent been very strong on defense.
these 100 mil $ men need to realize where our voids are and focus on what the Knicks need to be redefined as "stars" with their current team.
BUT hang on, if the stars come back and baron joins up (as a nice back up to lin) we may becomeing the La clippers of the east (sorry about that, hehe) and be able to claim almost unstoppable on the offensive end. but thats what we thought in the beggining of this abbreviated season!! but now we have lin at the 1..........
what do you think ? I know I have bought in, but there are some items still on "watch" status. I really think we will end up on the high road this time. chances are if you post to this thread you will be "bought in" as well....
better take an asprin for that "linfever" of yours..................
, but please, enjoy, this NY basketball buzz has NOT been here in awhile! Go Knicks!

Amare Stoudemire watched Linsanity from Florida, a welcome break as he grieved the death of his brother.
Carmelo Anthony had a front-row seat right in New York, where he couldn't escape fears he was eventually going to mess things up.
Both superstars will return soon, but the question is no longer whether they can coexist.

Jeremy Lin Receives Encouragement From Ex-Knicks Guard Wat Misaka, First Asian American in NBA
When he first got to the NBA, Jeremy Lin got some support from an unexpected source. Wataru Misaka, the first non-white NBA player and like Lin an Asian American, sent the Chinese-American point guard a letter of encouragement. Misaka described the letter in an ESPN report, noting that "he told him 'Ganbare,' which means 'hang in there' in Japanese." While...

Jeremy Lin hit a free throw with 4.9 seconds left to overcome a dreadful second half and lift the New York Knicks to their fifth straight victory, 100-98, over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday night.

Jeremy Lin Sticks it to Kobe
The Knicks beat the Lakers on Friday and the T-Wolves on Saturday night to push their streak to 5 strait wins. Before the game against the Lakers Kobe said he didn't know anything about Lin or what he had done in his first three games. Apparently Lin didn't like that and dropped 38 points on the Lakers to lead his team to victory. A Chinese paper just said what everyone...
Jeremy Lin and Landry Fields are reading from Bible in pregame handshake
Last week we showed you the nerdy pregame handshake shared by Knicks guards Jeremy Lin and Landry Fields. The handshake involves Lin flipping through pages on a book Fields is holding out, the two pretending to take off reading glasses, and placing them in their pockets. They also point to the sky after the routine. We learned that’s because of religious reasons.

Day 49 of 124: Lin, Love and Ilyasova
Line of the Night: Kevin Love (2.78) did something against the Knicks last night that he’s done five other times in his career – and that’s go for at least 30 and 20 in a game. Love scored 32 points and grabbed 21 rebounds and despite that, was overshadowed by a certain PG on the other team who hit the game-winning free throw. It’s “only’ the second...
Let's Hope The NBA Never Stops The Linsanity
Is it wrong to rally around Jeremy Lin’s underdog story? Should we feel silly pulling for this undrafted free agent and D-League refugee whose berserk five-game scoring burst energized the New York Knicks?Of course not – because it’s a great story. Even if he simply settles back into a John Starks “instant energy” role with the Knicks, that will be a...
