For the Bucks, Friday marked the first day of life without Andrew Bogut, who will miss between 8-12 weeks with a fractured left ankle.Bogut's absence was obvious in Milwaukee's 107-100 loss to the Bulls at the United Center.Bogut has missed six games this season four for a personal situation, one after failing a concussion test and Friday at Chicago and the Bucks are winless in those contests. Without Bogut in the lineup, the Bulls had an easy time penetrating the paint and held a decided advantage on the stat sheet in offensive rebounds (20-14), points in the paint (56-42) and second-chance points (25-17). Making up the difference in those categories will be a significant problem for the Bucks moving forward as they try to adjust to not having their seven-footer manning the lane."We had trouble with (offensive rebounding) all night long," head coach Scott Skiles said. "We tried to play hard for the most part. We didn't react well enough on the glass and if you're playing a team like this in their building ... they're going to get a lead on you."Skiles, as he's done in five previous games without Bogut this season, started 6-foot-10 Drew Gooden at center. Gooden played 36 minutes, finishing with 23 points on 6-for-14 shooting with 15 rebounds while going a perfect 10-for-10 from the line. He did what he could against Chicago's Joakim Noah, who finished with 15 points and was dominant on the boards, pulling down 16 rebounds. There was some reason for optimism, though as rookie Jon Leuer came on strong with 19 points on 9-of11 shooting with five rebounds in 20 minutes of work."Jon was good," Skiles said. "He kind of kept us in there a little bit with his shot-making."Next up for the Bucks is another tough test as the Los Angeles Lakers come to Milwaukee for a 7:30 p.m. contest at the Bradley Center.

Loss to Bucks exposes Rockets' defense woes

Pistons-Bucks Preview
