Wizards reserve guard Javaris Crittenton pleaded guilty yesterday to a misdemeanor gun possession charge and was sentenced to a year of unsupervised probation. Here is the statement released by Crittenton's lawyer and the statement released by the Wizards. The NBA had no immediate comment, but league officials are expected to meet with Crittenton today. Dan Steinberg points out on the D.C. Sports Bog that yesterday's proffer of facts reveals more contradictions about the Dec. 21 locker room confrontation between Crittenton and Gilbert Arenas. CBSSports.com's Ken Berger says yesterday's events will not help Arenas's situation. The New York Post's Peter Vescey also weighs in.
