Washington Wizards center Nene missed extensive time over the past two seasons due to plantar fasciitis and knee injuries. Entering the new campaign, it doesn't appear that his previous ailments will impact the way the Wizards handle him, as head coach Randy Wittman told J. Michael of CSN Washington that he doesn't expect to place any restrictions on Nene Hilario to start the season.Wittman offered his take on the big man's workout routine over the summer, saying that Nene looks and feels good at this point."He got in town Aug. 30. He's been on the floor. He feels good. He's had a whole summer where he didn't have to worry about the pounding and the stuff he did last summer having the injuries he did and having to play on the (Brazil) national team and never gave his body a chance to recover. He's feeling good. He looks good. I'm pretty pleased with that. I anticipate him being ready to go. When did we play our last game? Five months ago? He's done a lot of good work this summer, not only from a rest standpoint but from physical therapy. He's built his strength back up. I anticipate we'll head into the season with no restrictions."Michael points out that the Wizards' medical staff will likely have some say in the ultimately handling of Nene, but to this point all signs indicate that he should be ready to start the regular season at full steam. When he was able to take the court last season, Nene averaged 12.6 points and 6.7 rebounds.Follow @hoopsinjurynews
