Washington-wizards-draft
The Washington Wizards say guard John Wall is ready to begin ''ramping up his activity level'' as he recovers from a stress injury to his left knee cap. The former No. 1 overall draft pick was re-examined Friday by Dr. David Altchek, who said Wall is showing improvement but that there is still some irritation in the knee. The doctor said Wall has been treated with three lubricating injections. He did not give a timetable for Wall's return to the lineup. The Wizards announced Wall's injury on Sept. 28 and estimated that he would be sidelined about two months. Instead, Wall has remained limited to taking standing-still jump shots in practice. Without him, the Wizards began 0-12 and were 3-16 going into Friday night's game against the Los Angeles Lakers.

A Look At Kevin Seraphin’s Up and Down Season

Come on coach, let me play (credit Nick Wass/AP Photo)   So far for the Washington Wizards, Kevin Seraphin’s season has been a roller coaster of ups and downs. Executive of D.C. lottery takes shot at Wizards

The poor Washington Wizards have been the target of many digs over the years. After all, the franchise has won just 39% of its games since 1997. That kind of futility often stirs up condescending trash talk from the opposition, but certainly not from folks in or around the team itself. Well, maybe not so much.It appears as though the D.C. Lottery, one of the team's official partners...
