PLAYERS: John Wall
TEAMS: Washington Wizards
Washington-wizards-draft
As much as Washington Wizards fans would love to see John Wall back on the court, the team's star point guard is nowhere near a return.  This is bad news for a club that can't seem to buy a win.  Wall, who is battling a stress injury to his right knee, has to be more disappointed than anyone.  He should have been back by now. According to Chuck Gormley of CSN Washington, Wall is still weeks away from practicing.  The original timetable for Wall's return was somewhere around Thanksgiving.  Now, that timetable looks like it will be extended beyond the new year. Wall is not even running yet.  Until he begins running, Wall cannot even start the process of getting back onto the practice court.  The other problem with getting Wall back is the team does not seem intent on setting a timetable now.  They are 2-15 with no hope of salvaging the season.  Wall could sit out the rest of the season and not make a difference except for possibly a nominal decline in attendance from those who go specifically to see him play.  Wall will play this season, of course, the team just simply won't rush him back.Wall will be in his third NBA season when he makes his season debut this year.  In his first two seasons, he proved to be one of the better guards in the league and certainly the most exciting player on the Wizards' roster.  Wall has averaged 16.3 points per game, 4.6 rebounds per game, and 8.2 assists per game in his career.  He was a standout at Kentucky and went number one overall to the Wizards in the 2010 draft. Wizards-Hornets Preview

While there's a chance Anthony Davis could return to the New Orleans Hornets' lineup as early as Tuesday night, recent news surrounding fellow former No. 1 overall pick John Wall hasn't been as promising.
