Washington-wizards-draft
Washington Wizards point guard John Wall looks to finally step back onto the court and turn the Wizards season around this Saturday. Craig Stauffer of The Washington Examiner tweeted that the only a setback would cause Wall to miss the game.Wall said only thing that needs to happen for him to play Sat is no setbacks. He hasn't had any since returning to full contact. #Wizards— Craig Stouffer (@CraigStouffer) January 9, 2013In a video from after Wednesday's practice, Wall talked about how he expects to be back on Saturday with his teammates. When asked if he feels 100%, Wall responded with optimism."Oh, I feel good. Today I didn't need no breaks, really."He mentioned that he wants to get into better cardio-shape since he will be looking to up the tempo with the Wizards offense once he's back. The Washington Times reports that Coach Randy Wittman has similar comments on John Wall.“We’ve got to be patient in this whole situation,” Wittman said. “His conditioning isn’t near where it needs to be at this time. I don’t want to put him in a situation out on the floor where [lack of] conditioning is going to have a tendency to cause another injury.”When asked about how limited he will be in his debut, Wall responded on saying that would be up to the coach and the doctor and that he would be happy "to just play five again".John Wall's return would mean a lot to a struggling Wizards team, who albeit beating the Oklahoma City Thunder, have won just five games this season. Wall's explosiveness will likely take time to return but even in limited minutes he should be able to make an impact.
