If there's a reason to watch Friday night's matchup between the Washington Wizards and Orlando Magic, it may be to see John Wall.
These teams have numerous players unavailable as Wall tries to help the visiting Wizards end a six-game road losing streak against a Magic team that has dropped eight straight.
Washington (26-45) had only eight players available in its last contest while Orlando (18-54) started three rookies among the eight it used in its latest game.
While established veterans such as the Magic's Jameer Nelson and the Wizards' Emeka Okafor will play Friday, Wall figures to be the player to watch. This will mark his first start against the Magic this season as he came off the bench once after missing the first two meetings due to his knee injury.
The third-year guard is averaging 21.5 points in March to rank 11th in the NBA, including a spectacular career-high 47-point effort in Monday's 107-94 home win over Memphis.
His next outing wasn't nea...

Following a game against the Thunder, Wizards point guard John Wall was asked if thinks Russell Westbrook is the fastest player in the NBA. He does not.
Washington Wizards point guard John Wall, has been making a lot of bold statements both on and off the court this season.
There was his “beef” with NBA agent David Faulk, after he questioned his ability to be a top tier point guard. It wasn’t that long ago he proclaimed himself a max contract player, although, if one was to look at the totality of his career, his premise...
After scoring 35 points in a loss to the Orlando Magic; Wizards guard John Wall spoke to the media about hard fouls, re-directing his aggression in the right way, and what went wrong against the Magic.

Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder were stunned by a Washington Wizards team without John Wall earlier this season.
They'll certainly be paying close attention to Wall on Wednesday night.
Coming off one of the best individual performances of the NBA season, Wall may need a similar offensive effort in Oklahoma City if the Wizards plan to pull off a surprising sweep of...

John Wall’s stat line pretty much told the tale of last night’s loss to Orlando. Whenever he scores as many as 35 points, on 28 shots, with only two assists, it’s pretty clear the Wizards had a terrible night shooting the ball, with no other scoring option available...
With the top five teams in the West already a lock for the playoffs, there are only 3 spots left in the west. Problem is, there’s 6 teams with a realistic chance of nabbing those spots, including Utah.
As this race heats up, I’d like to take this opportunity to begin a weekly update of the playoff chances for these teams. I’ll include my thoughts on what each team will...
