Which Current Cat Would Help John Wall the Most?

When John Wall was drafted #1 overall by the Washington Wizards in the 2010 NBA Draft, many NBA scouts said the former UK All-American point guard was the greatest point guard prospect since Magic Johnson. After a rocky rookie year, it was thought Wall would make significant improvements coming into this year. While he has improved his defensive game, averaging 1.6 blocks per game...

Video: John Wall dunks on 6'11 center

Greg Stiemsma a 6’11 undrafted free agent had his first career start for the Boston Celtics tonight. I’d have to say thanks to John Wall of the Washington Wizards it was a memorable one but for the wrong reason. Wall had a highlight reel dunk on/over him. Now in all honesty, Stiemsma did have a good first start. He scored 13 points with seven rebounds and two blocks...

Jan Vesely feeling ‘better,’ hopes to return soon

Jan Vesely was on the court at TD Garden on Monday in a T-shirt and shorts, doing some non-contact drills and leg exercises with resistance bands as head athletic trainer Eric Waters monitored him. As he walked off the court, signing autographs for fans before heading to the locker room, Vesely said he feels “better.” Read full article >>

John Wall Devastates Greg Stiemsma, JaVale McGee Screams Quite Loudly

For a little guy, Washington Wizards' John Wall sure can bring down the house with some outstanding dunks. Case in point - Washington's visit to Boston to face the Celtics where Wall threw one down on Boston's big man Greg Stiemsma. And if you are like me and thought, " Who in the heck is this Greg dude?," well this will sure make you remember him going forward...

Appreciating Rashard Lewis In His Return

Last year when the Wizards visited Orlando for the second time, Rashard Lewis was in unfamiliar surroundings. Lewis was locked out of the Magic locker. This was on purpose of course because Lewis was traded to Washington in December. He was no longer a member of the Magic, after putting the team over the top and helping lead the team to three straight Southeast Division championships...

Wall Gets a Technical for Looking

The Wizards racked up technical fouls Monday night, including a pair that had coach Flip Saunders tossed from the game in the first quarter. But it was a technical called on John Wall that had us shaking our heads. Wall drove hard, dunked on Celtics center Greg Stiemsma and gave him a “who’s your daddy” stare down. The ref, apparently offended by the glare, whistled...

Roger Mason Jr. was ejected from a game because of a … ‘technical glitch?’

You may have missed it last Friday night, after all it was a game between the Milwaukee Bucks and the Washington Wizards and you do have your dignity to think of, but Wizards guard Roger Mason Jr.'s ejection from that Wizards loss came because of a very strange infraction. He was kicked out, apparently, for playing basketball. Oh, the humanity. And all the people. A "technical...

Kentucky Wildcats in the NBA: 1/5 Edition

John Wall Wizards Point Guard Our own Paul Jordan was in attendance to see Wall and the Wiz lose to the Magic 103-85 as Washington drops to 0-6. Paul texted me to say that the Wizards were worse in person as they are on TV. Wall did all he could and scored 15 points, passed for 5 assists and made 4 rebounds. He had 0 turnovers. Wall needs some serious help in order to fulfill his...

Wizards' Saunders tossed 1:46 into game vs. C's

BOSTON (AP) -- Washington Wizards coach Flip Saunders was ejected 1:46 into Monday night's game against the Boston Celtics.

Open thread, Game 6: Wizards at Magic

The Wizards (0-5) are one loss away from their worst start in franchise history and will have a difficult challenge in avoiding the ignominious start as they face the Orlando Magic. Orlando has won 14 of the past 17 meetings, including the past two games at Amway Center. JaVale McGee has combined for 33 points, 28 rebounds and eight blocked shots in his past two games against Boston...

Wizards doomed in Orlando by terrible start

The Wizards were in trouble from the start. Orlando Magic all-star center Dwight Howard won the opening tip to Hedo Turkoglu and Nick Young let Jason Richardson get by him for an easy layup. Young quickly tried to strike back, but missed a running shot and horrific display of bad defense and even worse offense had just begun. Read full article >>

Wizards-Magic Preview

The Washington Wizards are on the verge of the worst start in franchise history. A visit to Orlando wouldn't appear to be a good way to avoid that dubious feat. They've rarely won there and have been blown out in the last three visits, plus the Magic are perfect at home this season heading into Wednesday night's meeting. Washington, which has never opened a season with...

Washington Wizards (0-5) at Orlando Magic (4-2), 7 p.m. (ET)

The Washington Wizards are the only winless team remaining in the NBA and are on the verge of the worst start in franchise history.

New York Knicks (2-4) vs. Washington Wizards (0-6) Open Thread

It is time to consider firing Mike D’Antoni after an embarrassing loss to the Charlotte Bobcats at Madison Square Garden. Also the Washington Wizards come into this game winless, which means Flip Saunders is not the right fit for his team. It’s hard to believe game number 7 of 66 in the regular season would be so critical, but both teams come into this contest desperate...

A New Year

Andray Blatche's response to any criticism Every year, people make resolutions as a way to convince themselves that they are moving forwardwith their lives and growing as people. And every year, February serves as the month when people realize theirlives remains stagnant. #Cynicism. Well, I am no different and so I decided tomake a list of sports New Year's resolutions...
