Washington-wizards-draft
The Wizards had their first practice of training camp today at the beautiful campus of George Mason University in Fairfax, VA. It was all business for the young squad, sans John Wall of course, as they ran up and down the court showing off their fast paced offense. From the get go, the offense  looked like it will be faster than before as big men like Emeka Okafor, Kevin Seraphin, Trevor Booker and Jan Veseley ran up and down the court at guard-speed. Besides the absence of Nene, who could only manage to jog lightly away from the action, it was truly enticing to see. The Wizards front court is stacked with big athletic bodies. On paper, the roster does not look bad at all, folks.  Expectations should not be targeted for the playoffs but for the improvement of John Wall (despite the injury) and the team as a whole.  I’d rather see the Wizards playing 48 minutes of hard nose basketball than to get blown out by the likes of the LA Lakers and Miami Heat.  This training camp seems to...

Wizards' Wall hopes to return sooner than expected

Washington Wizards point guard John Wall, tabbed to miss the first month of the regular season with a left knee injury, hopes he'll return sooner than expected. ''Luckily, I'm young,'' said Wall, who was diagnosed with the early stages of a stress injury to his left knee cap. ''Hopefully, it'll heal quicker than what it takes older people.'...

NBA Rumors: Wizards Lose John Wall for about 8 Weeks

The Washington Wizards will enter the 2012-13 season a man down. According to the Associated Press, Wizards’ star point guard John Wall will miss double-digit games to start the NBA season. “Just something that happens when you work out very hard; that’s all I can say,” Wall said. “It’s very tough for me, Wall added. John Wall may be out until December

The Washington Wizards are having to bounce back after some tough personnel calls that left them dealing with the immaturity of guys like Andray Blatche and JaVale McGee. They have moved past those guys now though, and could be a team on the rise with a lot of young talent, and some solid veterans as well. They brought in Nene, Trevor Ariza and Emeka Okafor and drafted Bradley...

John Wall Out With Injury

A stress injury to his left patella is the reason Wall will be sitting out 8 weeks this NBA season. Luckily, surgery will not be required on the foot but it’s not the way the Wizards wanted to start off their season. Especially after reloading their squad with Ariza, Nene and Okafor.

Pargo Takes Over For John Wall

With Wall out for 8 weeks, the Wizards had to make a move. And that move is Jannero Pargo. The agreement is a 1yr deal at the vet’s min but only until Wall returns. Which kinda sucks for Pargo, but work is work I guess.

Washington Wizards: 2012-13 NBA Season Preview

The Sports Bank will be counting down to the opening tip of the 2012-13 NBA season with team by team previews starting with the worst and working our way to the title contenders.  There is no lockout this time around so let’s get going. The Washington Wizards training camp began with a sour taste as news came out that John Wall suffered a minor setback to his knee injury and...
