The Washington Wizards revealed their 2009-2010 regular season schedule today and it begins with two road games, in Dallas on October 27 and then in Atlanta against the Hawks. The team makes it's home season premier on Halloween night against the NJ Nets at 7 PM. The 2009-10 schedule features 16 national television appearances (eight on NBATV, seven on ESPN, one on TNT). Overall, the Wizards will play 22 of their 41 home contests on the weekend (Friday-Sunday).Washington's appearances on ESPN and TNT include Nov. 4 vs. Miami (ESPN, 7:00 p.m.), Nov. 18 vs. Cleveland (ESPN, 7:00 p.m.), Nov. 27 at Miami (ESPN, 7:00 p.m.), Dec. 10 vs. Boston (TNT, 8:00 p.m.), Dec. 18 at Golden State (ESPN, 10:30 p.m.), March 7 at Boston (ESPN, 8:00 p.m.), April 7 at Orlando (ESPN, 8:00 p.m.), and April 14 vs. Indiana (ESPN, 8:00 p.m.)....The Wizards will host each team in the Eastern Conference twice with the exception of Cleveland and Toronto (the Wizards will travel to Chicago and Philadelphia only once). The team's longest road trip of the season is four games (done twice), while Washington will have a season-high six-game homestand from Jan. 16 - Jan. 26 (their longest homestand since a seven-game stretch from Jan. 24 - Feb. 6, 2004).All home games will tip off at 7:00 p.m. with the exception of the Sunday and Martin Luther King Day matinee games (1:00 p.m.), Sunday, April 4 vs. New Jersey (6:00 p.m.), two of the nationally-televised contests (Dec. 10 vs. Boston on TNT and April 14 vs. Indiana on ESPN will both start at 8:00 p.m.) and Jan. 30 vs. New York (8:00 p.m.).Good enough. Let's hope we get a chance to see a healthy Wizards team knock the crap out of Lebron and the Traveliers at least once this season.
