Good- Rubio/Williams- The rookie duo played very well today when they came in the game changed. I think today we saw the difference between Rubio and other young point guards who might be better athletes. Rubio knows the game and how to play. John Wall for all the hype doesnt make his teamates much better. Kevin Love- Solid as usual from Love. He played against a team that could give him problems with all the length and athletes on the floor but love dominated the game. His defense was even better tonight. Tolliver- Had one of his better games of the year. Tolliver has been struggling to score but was much better today. THE BAD The Wizards!!!! Flip Saunders days are numbered maybe its time for Flip to head back to the U and take over for Tubby Smith. The Wizards are a poorly constructed team. Ugly- Darko Milicic- One of his worst outings of the year. He did nothing and seemed to have issues with the more athletic Wizards down low. The good news was we didnt need hi...

Wall finished the night with 22 points and 9 assists, but his team remains win...

WALL BLASTS WIZARDS FOR SELFISHNESS; SAYS THINGS COULD GET UGLY IN D.C.!

John Wall drives past Knicks rookie Iman Shumpert on this play but the Wizards’ losing is driving him up a wall. Washington Wizards guard JOHN WALL is not used to losing. His team is off to a franchise worst 0-7 start and the 21-year old point guard is beginning to get fed up, telling the Washington Post recently that if the Wizards don’t change their selfish ways, things...

Open thread, Game 7: Knicks at Wizards

Since the Wizards’ loss to the Orlando Magic on Wednesday, the team has held a players-only meeting, and there has been much discussion about why John Wall is struggling. Will the three-game homestand, which starts tonight against the Knicks, help? Will Roger Mason Jr. feel extra motivation playing against his former team (an experience that left “a bad taste” in his mouth...

Wizards take solace in better effort, but lose close contest to Knicks

With 24.3 seconds left in Friday night's game, the Washington Wizards led the New York Knicks by one point. John Wall had just scored on a fast break to put the Wizards ahead, and the Verizon Center crowd was on its feet, feeling a victory. It would have been the Wizards' ...

Wizards Update–Rock Bottom, Let’s Hope

The Wizards are 0-6, that’s the worst start in franchise history.  They’re the only team in the NBA without a win this season, they’ve been blown out by 18+ in three of the six games, and are last in the league in assists (86); those are signs that this young team is lost and however early in the season it is, has given up. One of the few Wizards players over 30...

Knicks Finish Off Forth Quarter Strong; Beat Wizards 99-96

The New York Knicks had a terrible first quarter and once again they were lacking on the defensive end. The Knicks clearly made no adjustments since their loss to the Charlotte Bobcats and the Wizards took advantage of every opportunity. Washington was getting into the open-court and found good looks on nearly every possession. The first quarter was all Washington and it headed to...

Fantasy Basketball: Underachievers Abound

by Charles Peach / @Charles_Peach Strange, unpredictable things happen in the beginning of the NBA season. Some of them are easier to explain than others. Why is Spencer Hawes a Top-10 fantasy player? I’ll pass on that one and move on to some that I have a chance at answering correctly. What should I do with John Wall? Wall owners should be looking to trade him after his next...

Knicks Escape Devastating Loss and Hold Off Wizards

When the Knicks fell to 2-4 Wednesday night after having suffered losses to the likes of the Warriors, Raptors, and Bobcats, one thing was finally understood by everyone: no team represents an automatic (or at the very least) an easy win for the team any longer. That is why on Friday night, when the Knicks fell behind as many as 16 points against the so far winless Wizards, as discouraging...

No direction home for Wizards

Ned Dishman/NBAE/Getty Images John Wall and Wizards are driving somewhere. Where, exactly, is unclear. In the Washington Post, Mike Wise writes that when you see the mess that is the winless Wizards, you must remember that it was always part of the plan to rebuild the ugly way: Amid this eyesore of bad basketball lately, we forget owner Ted Leonsis’s essential directive to...

Kornheiser and Wilbon say they’d take Ricky Rubio over John Wall

When Ricky Rubio showed up at the Verizon Center and showed up the Wizards on Sunday, plenty of media people wanted to ask Rubio questions. The Wizards, of course, could have had Rubio in 2009, but opted for Mike Miller and Randy Foye instead. Read full article >>

Raptors-Wizards Preview

Although each NBA team is playing 16 fewer games this year because of the lockout, it's looking like it is going to be a long season for the Washington Wizards. Coming off yet another lopsided defeat, the Wizards again hope to get their first victory Tuesday night when they host the Toronto Raptors. Washington (0-8) is the NBA's lone winless team and it has rarely come...

The Discontent Epidemic

The NBA season is off and running. While we are less than 10 games into the season, you would be hard pressed to tell if teams do not already have an eye toward the stacked 2012 Draft class. Or maybe it is the frenetic pace of the schedule and the truncated training camp that has some teams playing with a little less energy than others early on. The league usually does not have...
