Your Los Angeles Lakers have been busy making a flurry of moves surrounding their second-round draft pick, Maxwell Lewis. The forward was selected with the No. 40 pick out of Pepperdine.
On Saturday morning, Lewis was assigned to the Lakers' NBA G League affiliate team in El Segundo, the South Bay Lakers.

This foreshadowed the sad news that Lakers superstar forward LeBron James will not be playing, and that happened to be the case as he has been ruled out for Sunday's matchup against the Portland Trail Blazers proper. James will miss the game due to a left calf contusion, which could mean some playing time for the rookie.
We'll see if Lewis will get some run on the court with the big league team after coming off a game with the South Bay Lakers.
