Byron Mullens has signed a contract with Shanxi Zhongyu in China.
Mullens is the third foreign player to round out Shanxi's roster.
Mullens signed wiht the Los Angeles Clippers last offseason and was dealt to the Philadelphia 76ers before the NBA trade deadline.
Sixers big man Byron Mullens has turned down his minimum salary player option for next season and will become a free agent, GM Sam Hinkie told reporters, including Tom Moore of Calkins Media (Twitter link). The Wasserman Media Group client would have made a guaranteed salary of more than $1.063MM had he remained under contract, but he’ll seek more on the open market.

The Clippers and free-agent center Byron Mullens reached agreement on a two-year contract Saturday, according to NBA executives who were not authorized to speak publicly on the matter.
Mullens deal is worth about 1 million per season. He can opt out of the contract after one season.
