The New York Knicks coaching staff would like to sign Earl Barron, but team management is not in any rush to do so, according to a source close to the veteran free-agent center.
“The Knicks coaches want Earl, but ownership wants to wait,” the source told Bleacher Report.

Earl Barron is receiving interest from the New York Knicks, Indiana Pacers, New Orleans Pelicans and Philadelphia 76ers.
Barron finished last season as a late addition to the Knicks.
Barron went undrafted out of Memphis in 2003 and has appeared with several NBA teams in addition to overseas teams in Puerto Rico, Italy and the Philippines.

Every time I see Earl Barron on the court for the New York Knicks he gets the job done. I realize his few appearances have been at the end of the season or garbage time, but for some reason I think if he is given the proper chance to back up Tyson Chandler as a traditional center, he could get the job done admirably.

The Golden State Warriors have signed free agent center Earl Barron, giving the team another big man with backup Kwame Brown likely sidelined for the season with a chest injury.
