The Phoenix Suns have waived center Earl Barron. A seven-year NBA veteran, Barron signed with the Suns on Sept. 26. In six preseason appearances, Barron averaged 3.7 points and 4.3 rebounds in 13.7 minutes. The Suns' roster now stands at 15 players.
The Phoenix Suns have 15 guaranteed contracts and a non-guaranteed deal in Earl Barron remains on the roster.
Barron is still a candidate to stay with the Suns into the regular season.
Barron could be competing with Shavlik Randolph for the 15th spot; Randolph has guaranteed salary for $1.23 million.
