Free agent forward James Ennis has signed with Puerto Rican club Grises de Humacao. Ennis, 32, last appeared in the NBA in 2021-22, when he played two games for the Nets, two for the Clippers and three for the Nuggets.
Free agent forward James Ennis has agreed to a contract with Russian club BC Samara, per Alberto De Roa of HoopsHype. Ennis, 32, is 6-foot-6 and signed 10-day contracts with the Nets, Clippers and Nuggets last season, all of which came during the December-January COVID surge.
Ennis, who has signed 10-day contracts with the Nets, Clippers and Nuggets since December, plans to leave the door open for an eventual NBA return, sources said.
It has been a record-setting season for the 10-day contract, which got more use than ever this winter as teams missing players due to COVID-19 scrambled to add multiple replacements at a time.
For the moment, the Nuggets might not have a clear path toward adding Cousins.
The Nuggets intend to sign forward James Ennis to a 10-day contract.
Even with Nets players leaving health and safety protocols, Brooklyn has decided to extend their two of their COVID replacements, keeping the two combo guards they signed earlier this month, Shaq Harrison and Langston Galloway, for another 10 days.
Seeing as how we might have more guys on 10-day contracts than we have healthy players by the New Year, this might become a recurring bit. This sucks, it all sucks, but one of the only decent things to spring from here are the opportunities being afforded to guys who might not have found themselves in the NBA otherwise.
The Brooklyn Nets have announced that they have signed James Ennis and Shaquille Harrison to ten-day contracts. Harrison has played for the Suns, Bulls, Jazz and Nuggets.
There’s a long way to go before the Magic will be talking about contending again, but the rebuild has taken a good first step or two this year.
These 10 specialists could provide some much-needed skills to contenders and rising squads alike.
Ennis played for the Orlando Magic last season
Ennis is looking to find a good fit after a productive season in Orlando.
James Ennis III may have the opportunity to play for a contender during the 2021-22 campaign after he was a member of the 21-51 Orlando Magic in 2020-21.
James Ennis will likely be looking at a one-year, veteran’s minimum deal for a club seeking insurance at small forward.
The Magic have a full 17-man roster, with 15 players on standard contracts and a pair on two-way contracts, but should have a path to temporarily add an 18th man if they so choose.
Orlando acquired Ennis from Philadelphia in a trade-deadline deal in February.
Both players were given technical fouls and ejected.
Ennis added that he experienced multiple symptoms, including headaches and vomiting. While he said he's feeling better, he admitted he's still working to get back to full fitness and playing shape.
