POTD 4/9/12: Jan Vesely on Bismack Biyombo
Journeyman forward James Singleton has been a Clipper and a Wizard. In other words, he knows what it’s like to lose basketball games. When made aware of Charlotte’s abysmal record, even he was taken aback.
“I looked at the board and saw 7-47 and I was like, ‘Errrr,’” said Singleton, via The Washington Post.

John Wall with the alley-oop to Jan Vesely
This slick connection from second-year point-guard, John Wall, to first-year power-forward, Jan Vesely, came with just about four minutes to go in the first quarter.
John Wall sure makes the art of passing look easy.

Ray Allen Says Wizards’ Jan Vesely Doesn’t Know How to Play Basketball
Grumpy old man Ray Allen: take two. The Celtics are struggling. Their superstars are aging. They have won only seven games so far this season, and three of them have come against one of the worst teams in the NBA. No matter how much the team struggles, Allen has always been a veteran leader and rarely has anything negative to say. This season, he has flashed signs of frustration...

POTD 1/13/12: Jrue Holiday On Jan Vesely
Hey Jan, remember how I told you not to sweat it last time? You know, the thing about how every rookie needs to be formally welcomed to the NBA? While this is true, it doesn’t mean you have to go out there and get banged on every night. Also, try not to let the little guys get you. That can be particularly demoralizing, and your coach won’t be very happy with...

POTD 1/11/12: Taj Gibson On Jan Vesely
Jan Vesely will probably be on the dunking end of most of the posterizations he becomes involved in, but Taj Gibson caught him slippin’ under the basket last night in Chicago. What happened next was a formal welcoming to the NBA. I wouldn’t sweat it, Jan, ’cause it happens to everybody. It’s almost like a right of passage. You’re not truly...

Wizards hire shooting coach to work with Jan Vesely
About a half-hour before the Wizards’ first shoot-around of the preseason, rookie forward Jan Vesely was shooting free throws with a black strap wrapped around his left thumb and extending to his elbow. Coach Flip Saunders brought in shooting coach Jay Wolf to work with Vesely on his form, and Wolf has a shooting strap that allows players to maintain the proper form with his guide...
