Here you are, it is the last round of your fantasy football draft. You only have one more player to take. What are you going to do?
Take a fantasy football kicker of course!
Now we all know that kickers are a dime a dozen and that they don't necessarily deserve a lot of ink, but, we here at the Bruno Boys will leave no stone unturned. Here are our thoughts on a few solid sleepers that you should be able to get really, really late in your draft (or off the waiver a half hour before game time September 9th).
Ranking System: The higher the "Snooze Alarm" Ranking, the more sleeper value the player has.

Mike Nugent - New York Jets
This has to be the Bruno Boys favorite sleeper when it comes to fantasy football kickers. Nugent plays on a team with a much improved defense and a running game that is going to get better with the addition of Thomas Jones. The running game will be a welcomed addition to an offense that was already productive. Each of these factors will result in consistently better field position and more scoring opportunities for everyone including Mr. Nugent. Because of this, Nugent receives FOUR SNOOZE ALARMS.
Ranked 16th in the Bruno Boys Fantasy Football Draft Cheat Sheet, Nugent was better than advertised in 2006. For you guys in leagues with a yardage bonus. Last year he connected on 24 field goals and 16 of them were from 30+ yards out. In Nugent you will get consistency and potentially a top 10 fantasy football kicker.

Jets Kick over the Eagles
The Jets finish the pre-season with three wins and one dismal loss. Everyone will tell you the pre-season means nothing, but ask any player or coach and they'll tell you that they'd rather have more wins than losses, no matter what. They escaped injury-free other than Thomas Jones' calf strain and hopefully he'll be close to 100% by next Sunday.
The first stretch...
Brett Favre Informs Jets of Retirement
According to sources over at FoxSports.com and by sources I mean the one and only Jay Glazer, New York Jets quarterback Brett Favre
has informed the organization of his retirement. Yes, I know we have
all seen this song and dance before, but this time it appears to be
genuine and for real. Brett Favre is ready to retire from the NFL.
We all know about the Favre controversy...
SAINT ANDREW’S NET: DE-PANTS (CLAP CLAP)
Saint Andrew’s Net is With Leather’s daily link dump. It doesn’t think much of you,
Yeah, so that Tyson Chandler trade we got so worked up about yesterday? Ain’t happening
Here’s some unhealthy love for Jets RB Thomas Jones. Not to suggest that ...
Calvin Pace, Darrelle Revis Show Support of Teammate Brett Favre
Not many people have been complimentary of Brett Favre since the Jets’ season went down the tubes courtesy of his three interception performance against the Dolphins in week 17. That capped off a 1-4 finish leaving the Jets at 9-7 despite starting the season a sparkling 8-3. Thomas Jones was brutally honest in [...]
Chatman Officially a Jet, Who’s Next?
Today the Jets reached an agreement with former Miami running back Jesse Chatman, providing them with quality depth in their backfield. They now currently have three separate players who have ran for over 500 yards in a season: Chatman (last year), Leon Washington (2006), and Thomas Jones (over 1,000...

Best Wishes Rex
When the Bears took Rex back in 2003, there was a thought of finally having a franchise quaterback. Three years later, they are in Super XLI. Did he play great against the Colts? No. Did he lose that game by himself? No. And yes, He was horrible early on in the following season. He even deserved to be benched but, at the end of the day, Rex should been in Chicago with the fans behind...
Thursday Night Football: The Saga Continues, 11/13/08
I want to set the record straight on something before I get into the games. I've been told that I play it too safe when making my picks. I go by the numbers too much and that I should take chances to spice up this column; make sure it doesn't go stale.
You know what, I can't do that. Call it the "boy scout" in me, but I live by the mottos that you're...
Jones takes leadership role!!!
Soon after being voted the team MVP, Thomas Jones spoke out against Brett Favre. We all know ESPN & the NFL have had a love affair with this guy for years, but the bottom line is he?s un-coachable. There is no reason any QB should come to a new team and have the entire offense
The Jets ...
Hits and Misses - Week 7: Calling all Titans running backs
So it looks like the FFGeekBlog cover curse lives on as Matt Cassel and the Patriots receivers managed to fall flat on their face last weekend against the Chargers. I'm not sure what it is that causes every player I mention in the headline to go out of their way to play terribly, but we're switching it up a bit in hopes that it doesn't continue. You'll notice that...
