Mark Sanchez and the Jets face a tough home matchup against Green Bay in Week 8.

I’ve taken a look at who you fantasy owners out there should give a starting nod to this week, but who should take a seat on the bench this week?

I’m short on time today, so I’m going to have to dole this week’s sits out in multiple parts, starting with the quarterbacks.

Sit QB

Sam Bradford, St. Louis Rams: Bradford is still working on becoming more accurate, but he’s become more efficient as he’s gotten more starts under his belt. After throwing eight interceptions in his first five games, he’s tossed three touchdowns and no interceptions in his last two games.

However, don’t consider him this week at Carolina, as the Panthers are first in the league in QB rating against (65.7), 4th in passing yards allowed per game (182.5), tied for 4th in interceptions (10), and 6th in completion percentage against (55.5%).

Max Hall, Arizona Cardinals: I’m not sure why you’d be considering starting Hall in the first place, but if you are, either you’re a BYU fan or extremely, extremely desperate. Hall stunk it up at Seattle before being knocked out with a head injury, going 4 for 16 for 36 yards and an interception, and he and Derek Anderson, who have combined for three touchdown passes and eight interceptions this season, combined to go 12 for 33 against the Seahawks. I don’t see much happening this week against one of the better pass defenses in the league in Tampa Bay, who’s tied for fourth in the league in interceptions, sixth in the league in passing yards allowed per game, and seventh in completion percentage against.

Mark Sanchez, New York JetsAfter five games without an interception to start the season after throwing 20 as a rookie, Sanchez tossed two against Denver in Week 6. Though he’s at home this week against Green Bay, it’s a good idea to back off of him this week against the Packers, who have 10 interceptions and 22 sacks, and have allowed opponents to complete only 58.8% of their passes this season, not much higher than Sanchez’s 55.4%.

Matt Schaub, Houston Texans: This is going based on the Texans’ gameplan against Indianapolis in Week 1, as Schaub threw only 17 passes and let the ground game do the rest in their win over the Colts. If they do the same thing (which they should, if they want to win the game), then don’t look for Schaub to have one of the more productive games.

Vince Young, Tennessee Titans: Young practiced fully yesterday, and I’m operating under the assumption that he’ll be ready to go on Sunday at San Diego, especially with Kerry Collins nursing a torn tendon in the middle finger of his throwing hand. But whether it’s Young or Collins who starts against the Chargers, this one’s a sit, as the Chargers are tied for the NFL lead in sacks (with the Titans, as it happens) and top the league in least passing yards allowed per game (158.6).
