The Fantasy Fix:
TJ Yates (credits below) The Gold Mine is in it's last few weeks of existence for the 2011 fantasy season. Some of you out there are in the second leg of your fantasy football playoffs. I, on the other hand, am not, the result of not having enough points to win a tiebreaker in one league; and losing Matt Forte the week before my playoffs in my other league (not to mention the early exit of Greg Jennings and Matt Moore sealing my fate in last week's work league matchup...damn you, fantasy gods!). Before Sunday's last second victory, Yates was a mediocre backup for those that lost the steady services of Matt Schaub. As in other Gold Mine columns, the question is, where did Yates come from and where is he going?T.J. is an interesting stor...

Over the weekend, the Houston Texans claimed their first playoff berth in franchise history as they pulled out a late win against the Bengals.
One Texans fan was filmed as he watched the final minutes of the game and his excitement is on another level:
The third Texans starter this season, QB T.J. Yates (North Carolina) could have ended up in a Panthers uniform. We looked at him, Rivera said. With 2 1/2 games of film to review, Rivera was reminded of what he initially liked during last offseasons pre-draft scouting. Hes very smart, Rivera said. Source: CBSSports Attached Thumbnails

The absurdly premature playoff picture presents one man's projection for the NFL playoffs, at each given week in the season -- even if that week is unreasonably early.
• In the AFC, the only change is that the Houston Texans move into the two-seed ahead of the Baltimore Ravens. That's right. I believe in T.J. Yates that much. You might even say that I have a Yates infection...
Here’s a picture of Houston Texans quarterback T.J. Yates and tight end Owen Daniels hugging each other in celebration of being drafted to my terrible Draftstreet fantasy football team.
You should be hugging, too, because this week’s contest — a 50-person cash game for $11 that gives you a chance to win money from a $500 dollar cash pool and gives $5 to anyone who places higher...
