Bears fans are already chirping about the potential of the Chicago Bears offense as the team begins training camp this week. The Bears have never been known for their offensive fire power but rather their historically good defenses.
With the additions to their offense along with the talent already on this roster, the potential is there for a special season from the Bears. Opposing defensive coordinators may have trouble sleeping leading up to games versus the Bears for the first time in a long time.
Of course you have Jay Cutler returning at quarterback for his 4th season under center for the Bears. Cutler was well on his way to a probowl season before a broken thumb on his throwing hand that required surgery forced Cutler out of the Bears final 6 games of 2011. In the most successful season of Cutler's career back in 2008 with the Denver Broncos Jeremy Bates was his quarterback coach, and Brandon Marshall was Cutler's go to receiver. Fast forward to today heading in...

With Matt Forte's deal in the books, the Chicago Bears will finally get a look at their new 1-2 punch at running back when training camp gets underway in a few days.
Ex-Oakland Raider Michael Bush signed a four-year contract to come to Chicago, and took reps with the first-team offense during Organized Team Activities and minicamp while Forte worked out on his own while in...
The Chicago Bears have put receiver Johnny Knox on the physically unable to perform list.
The move announced Wednesday was not a surprise, since general manager Phil Emery had said it might happen. Knox suffered a gruesome back injury against Seattle last season and needed surgery to stabilize a vertebra. Knox has 133 receptions for 2,214 yards in three seasons and has been a contributor...
After back-to-back seasons that ended in disappointment will 2012 be the last stand for Lovie Smith with the Chicago Bears? The Bears enter the season appearing to have awoken from hibernation as an organization that is hungry and on the prowl. Long gone are offensive coordinator Mike Martz and General Manager Jerry Angelo; two individuals who were [...]
Brian Urlacher's outlook is as healthy as his left knee.
The Pro Bowl linebacker believes the Chicago Bears are loaded and ready to meet soaring expectations after one of their busiest offseasons in recent memory.
New general manager Phil Emery replaced the fired Jerry Angelo as general manager and immediately went to work, acquiring Pro Bowl receiver Brandon Marshall from...
Wide receiver Johnny Knox was placed on the active/physically unable to perform list by the Bears as he continues to recover from the hit last December that nearly left him paralyzed. The 6-foot Knox lost at least 30 pounds following the December collision against former Seattle defensive tackle Anthony Hargrove. In May, he had gained back roughly 10 pounds, and his ability to...
Both Brian Urlacher and Lance Briggs enjoyed a season with 100 plus tackles and health in 2011.
The star linebackers don’t seem to be slowing down one bit from year-to-year.
With Nick Roach projected as the strongside linebacker, the unit should be strong once again.
Veteran Geno Hayes was brought in this off-season to provide some depth at the position and should battle Roach...
Every year Chicago Bears fans and players get excited for the season to get underway.
Training camp is finally here.
The Bears take the field for the first time August 9th against Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos in preseason game number one.
Here are some of the best shots of Bears players during reporting day yesterday in Bourbonnais at Olivet Nazarene University.
On July 25th, 1954 in the small town of Columbia, Mississippi Walter Payton was born. Luckily for the Chicago Bears, Walter was active in sports and found his calling in football. Walter was drafted by the Chicago Bears in the first round of the 1957 NFL draft, as the fourth overall pick. He is known as being one [...]
The Bears' secondary stayed relatively healthy last season. Charles Tillman was voted to his first Pro Bowl after posting yet another solid season.
Tim Jennings proved to be a consistent tackler and tough coverage man. He let a couple of interceptions slip out of his hands.
That's something that he has to improve in order to keep his starting job.
D.J. Moore posted...
Eric Weems is currently fourth on the WR depth chart and should prove a strong complement to Devin Hester in the return game. Bear Report goes one-on-one with the new Bears wideout.
Today Bears players went through physicals and conditioning tests in Bourbonnais.
WR/KR Devin Hester had lots to say about his plans for the upcoming season with the offense.
The speedy return man and receiver will have a package geared towards his strengths this season in Mike Tice’s offense.
My biggest thing is when I catch the ball, (I want to) accelerate and make guys miss...
Jenny McCarthy was in the news last week regarding her boyfriend Brian Urlacher and moving back into Chicago to be with him. It looks like she’s fitting in quite well as you can tell from these...

Wide receiver Roy Williams will be in Houston on Thursday for a tryout with the Texans, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported Wednesday. Williams, a nine-year veteran, caught 37 passes for 507 yards last season for the Chicago Bears. He has 393 catches in his career for 5,715 yards and 44 touchdowns. The Texans have little depth at wide receiver. Beyond starters Andre Johnson...
Cornerback Sam Shields put an exclamation point on a terrific rookie season by picking off two passes in the 2010 NFC Championship Game against the Chicago Bears. Then a funny thing happened on his way to stardom. The former college wide receiver shied away from contact and gave up nine passes of 20 yards or [...]
