Found August 10, 2012 on Football Nation:
Most NFL teams that qualify for the postseason, plus win a playoff game, spend their offseason figuring out minor adjustments to their roster in order to push their team into the Super Bowl. In most instances, they believe they are a player or two away from having the necessary talent to win a championship. In the case of the 2011 Denver Broncos, they decided to take a bold direction after their improbable playoff run – blow up the offense and essentially start from scratch. After starting the year at 1-4 losses with little sense of identity, Denver turned its fortunes and offense to Tim Tebow to see what might develop. What followed that maneuver was nothing short of incredible as the team rallied to clinch the AFC West title and a playoff berth behind a developing defense, one of the best running games in football, timely contributions from their special teams, and a ball possession offense that did just enough to put points on the board. It’s not a pretty formula, but it was...

Tim Tebow pass hits Bengals cheerleader (Video)

Last night, some guy named Tim Tebow got his first live action as quarterback with the New York Jets. During New York's week one preseason affair against the Bengals, Tim threw an incomplete pass on a 3rd and 2 in the second quarter that ended up hitting a Bengals cheerleader: (Courtesy of Throw The Flag)

Just a taste of Tebow

CINCINNATI - Tim Tebow's New York Jets preseason debut showed us that The Most Popular Backup Quarterback Ever can run when he needs to and isn't afraid to take a hit or try to stick a pass into traffic. Nothing's changed there. And nothing's changed with the Jets' plans, either. Rex Ryan has been adamant that Mark Sanchez is his starter and Tebow is his backup...

3 reasons to watch the Jets throughout the preseason

Since Tim Tebow joined team, the New York Jets have been the most popular and unpopular team in the NFL. Between Tebowmania, the QB controversy, training camp brawls and cornerback’s receiving, I really don’t know how anyone cannot pay attention to the Jets. All eyes are on them and that is why the preseason matters. Here are three [...]

Tebow set for Jets debut vs. Bengals

It's Tebow Time. Finally. After months of hype, a summer highlighted by a shirtless jog through the rain and constant media scrutiny, Tim Tebow is set to make his playing debut for the New York Jets in their preseason opener against the Bengals on Friday night in Cincinnati. ''I just want to get in there, try to execute the offense and get in and out of checks,'...

Tim Tebow throws INT in Jets loss

Tim Tebow picked up some yards by running around a few times. Other than that, there wasn't much in his Jets debut. Certainly nothing to spark any mania back in New York. Tebow had his best moments while scrambling behind reserves on the Jets' line Friday night. He completed only four passes and threw an interception during the Cincinnati Bengals' 17-6 preseason victory...

Tebow Debuts For The The NY Jets To Mixed Reviews

Friday night was the much anticipated debut of Tim Tebow in a New York Jets uniform as the           J-E-T-S, Jets, Jets, Jets opened the NFL pre-season against the Cincinnati Bengals. Here’s the highlights of Tebow’s first possession at quarterback. (Thanks NFL/WCBS-TV) Not a bad first act as a Jet quarterback leading the offense to a field...

Tebow focused on '16 days a year'

This week the New York Jets were their own worst enemy, getting involved in pushing and shoving matches several times during practice. For backup quarterback Tim Tebow, Friday night's preseason contest is about building in the right direction.

Bengals 17, Jets 6

He’ll Call You, All Right. Call You A SINNER!

As you could certainly guess, nothing good can come from the intersection of Tim Tebow and Carly Rae Jepsen. Combine two overexposed elements and you get a Jets fan holding a sign that is asking Tebow out. I’m not sure how else the sign could be interpreted. This leads me to wonder which possible scenario is preferable: that the guy with the sign is actually gay, which would...

New York Jets: Mark Sanchez Injury Would Be Catastrophic

Of all the rhetoric, hoopla and nauseating coverage over the arrival of quarterback Tim Tebow, the one thing that I rarely hear discussed is what happens if starting Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez gets hurt? The Jets' offense looked putrid in their preseason loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, 17-6.  Yes, we know a legitimate workhorse running back has yet to show his face. Yes...

Initial Reaction – New York Jets Inconsistent Against Bengals

A handful of thoughts from the New York Jets pre-season opener against the Cincinnati Bengals, a 17-6 loss that was far from the prettiest football game you will ever see - 1. Mark Sanchez didn’t receive much help in the way of protection or his receivers getting separation. However, he protected the football, scrambled for a first down on a 3rd down and hooked up with Patrick...

The New York Jets to sign Barnum and Bailey

Here we go once again.  It’s preseason, 31 teams are preparing for the upcoming season, and then there is the New York Jets preparing to take their three-ring circus show on the road.  The only thing missing so far this off-season is another one of those ridiculous Rex Ryan guarantees and the New York Jets signing Barnum and Bailey. This whole fiasco started with the signing...
