QB: Tom Brady/NE Patriots- Consistent with a few freak show performances, he would be the heart and soul of my team. Every year I wait for him to decline and it just doesn't happen.RB: Adrian Peterson/MN Vikings - I had a chance to get this guy and I passed. No way can someone come back from a torn ACL and a torn MCL and be productive at all!!! Wow, along with so many people, I was dead wrong. I have never seen more drive and more heart out of a football player in my life! Over 2000 yards rushing and 12 touchdowns. No way could anyone predict this and I wish I would have taken a gamble on the guy.RB: Arian Foster/HOU Texans - I knew Foster would be a top 5 guy, no regrets here; I never had a shot at him. Foster finished the regular season with 15 Rushing TD's, 2 Receiving TD's and 1424 yards rushing. Foster lived up to his expectations.WR: Brandon Marshall/CHI Bears- Most NFL fans had a good feeling about Marshall joining his old pal Jay Cutler in Chicago. Marshall is a beast and Cutler needed him. The most fascinating thing about Brandon Marshall is how he dominated in receptions for the Bears. No one even came close to his 118 catches and 11 TD's. Cutler was very pleased and I only see it getting better next year.WR: Calvin Johnson/DET Lions - Calvin Johnson was considered a disappointment to some this year as he didn't have near the touchdowns he had in 2011. BUT, Johnson was still the top point guy for wide receivers in 2012 as far as Fantasy Football is concerned. Johnson broke Rice's all time receiving record with 1964 yards receiving this year. Any time you have a shot at Calvin Johnson, you gotta grab him!TE: Tony Gonzalez/ATL Falcons - Normally I would put Rob Gronkowski here but due to his injury, I just couldn't. Some would argue Jimmy Graham fits the bill here but Gonzalez was more consistent, surprising and productive. In this spot I would rather have a "Steady Eddie" and that is exactly what Gonzalez was this year.K: Matt Bryant/ATL Falcons - Rookie Blair Walsh really was a nice surprise as far as kickers were concerned in 2012, but, I like veterans in this spot, preferably a veteran who kicks in a dome the majority of the time. Again, going with Bryant fulfills my consistency requirement and would be my pick as place kicker.DEF/ST: Chicago Bears-The Bears fell off the radar towards the end of the season but how can you not pick a team that offers so much. Devin Hester didn't provide the spark this team usually has on kick returns, but the defense stepped up and made big plays. Tim Jennings and Charles Tillman were the money makers this year, creating turnovers and points off of turnovers. A very exciting team to watch indeed and the potential was crazy, too bad the injuries kept the Bears in check at the end of the season. As you can see, this would be a dream lineup and in my opinion, the perfect Fantasy Football lineup for 2012.
