Today I will be discussing what the Giants have to do this season to defend their crown. The Giants have targets painted on their back after winning there second championship in five years.    Stay Healthy: The Giants last year were plagued by injuries. This year it’s already starting. The Giants have lost starting CB Terrell Thomas with a 3rd ACL tear. For the Giants to repeat they are going to have to stay healthy at key positions.   Run The Ball Effectively: Last year the Giants ranked dead last in rushing yards per game. The Giants only averaged 89 yards per game. This has to change in the 2012-2013 league year. Teams were keying in on Eli Manning all season with no threat of a run game. The Giants drafted David Wilson in the first round to help them in this department. Let’s just hope it works out.   Protect Eli Manning: Last year the offensive line was more patch work then I’d like to see protecting our franchise QB. The Giants let Eli Manning take a vicious beating last yea...

New York Giants: David Wilson Will Be Starting Soon

The Giants' rookie running back, David Wilson, has been opening eyes and breaking defenders in his first NFL training camp. The Virginia Tech product has coach Coughlin in awe of their new 1st round draft pick saying he "looks very fast, looks very quick".   Though many are saying his abilities are very similar to the Giants' #1 running back Ahmad Bradshaw, I...

New York Giants' Mark Herzlich Defying All Odds; Making Strong Case to Start in 2012

For the majority of cancer patients, beating the disease means simply just staying alive. However, for New York Giants linebacker Mark Herzlich, defeating cancer meant having a successful NFL career, despite being diagnosed with Ewing's sarcoma after his junior season at Boston College. Fortunately, after an intense five-month battle, Herzlich's cancer was in remission...

New York Giants’ Antrel Rolle Ready to Play Nickel Corner If Necessary

It is debatable how much New York Giants cornerback Terrell Thomas would have been able to contribute, even if healthy this season. Although his contract suggests that General Manager Jerry Reese brought him back to start, there is a long list of players who have suffered major knee injuries and returned to the field as shells of their former selves. Regardless, his status for this...

Hakeem Nicks still on track for the Giants season opener

AP Photo New York Giants wide receiver Hakeem Nicks says that he’ll start running routes on the side during practice today (Tuesday) and is “definitely still on target” for opening night against the Cowboys. Nicks is currently rehabbing from a fractured foot that he suffered back in May.  As we get closer to September, we’ll have a better idea if he’ll really be able to...

Hakeem Nicks Progressing

New York wide receiver Hakeem Nicks is scheduled to run routes for the first time in camp Tuesday, according to Mike Hale of the New York Post.Fantasy Spin:The Giants begin the season on September 5 against the Dallas Cowboys and Nicks promised he'd be ready for the opener. It appears he's still on schedule. Nicks and Victor Cruz make up one of the best wide receiver tandems...

Former Giants WR Thomas retires

Former New York Giants wide receiver Devin Thomas announced his retirement on Sunday. Thomas, 25, is perhaps best known for recovering two fumbles in the Giants' NFC championship game win over the San Francisco 49ers in January. Thomas was a second round pick of the Washington Redskins in 2008. He was in Chicago Bears camp this season before abruptly calling it a career....

Yes, Ron Jeremy Caught An Ole Miss-Memphis Football Game In 2003

Hadn’t seen this photo of Ron Jeremy at the 2003 Ole Miss-Memphis game in over 4.5 years until tonight when it showed up on Twitter. This pic of the Hedgehog takes me to February 2008 when it was posted on BC to very little fanfare on the Internet. Those sure were the days. I’d use Flickr for crazy photos and college cheerleaders hadn’t figured out how to lock their Facebook...
