Falcons re-sign Jason Snelling

According to the Atlanta Falcons official Twitter page, they have re-signed running back Jason Snelling.  We don’t have the details of the contract at this time. Snelling signed a one-year deal last offseason to stay in Atlanta and has shown that he’s a viable third-down back that can help take some of the load off of Michael Turner.

Falcons work out Lofa Tatupu

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Atlanta Falcons worked out free agent linebacker Lofa Tatupu on Friday. Just last month, Tatupu worked out for the Saints and Titans.  In the end, it looks like neither team was interested. Tatupu was released by the Seahawks prior to the 2011 season and decided to take the year off to rest up and make sure his body is ready to play football again.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Atlanta Falcons have signed linebacker Lofa Tatupu. After taking a year off from the NFL, Tatupu was able to catch on and try to revive a career that was momentarily derailed by injuries.
