New-york-jets-introduce
The 2011 New York Jets were full of expectations as Rex Ryan once again proclaimed the Jets would be in the Super Bowl, but the team imploded at the end of the season and failed to reach the playoffs for the first time since 2008. Mark Sanchez was under scrutiny for his decision making and costly interceptions and by the end of the season the team started to turn against him. The Jets are in an interesting situation as the talent remains in New York but uncertainty still circles around the team. There are a few glaring needs at wide receiver and offensive line, but the Jets have already come forward and stated they will cut LB Bart Scott. Reduced to only a part-time player, when he agreed to reduce his 2011 and 2012 base salaries in July (from $4.9 million and $5.6 million to $3.9 million and $4.2 million), in return the Jets fully guaranteed both years. So they will still be paying for his services but lack the leadership he provided for the team. Rex Ryan has one of the most compl...

Brady Quinn takes shots at Tim Tebow

Once Tebowmania caught fire in Denver, Brady Quinn was a quickly forgotten man on the Broncos' roster, which is why it shouldn't be surprising that he appears a bit bitter in a recent interview.

Linsanity, QB mechanics, and a military ball proposal – This Week in Tebow

Tim Tebow transcends the normal NFL quarterback offseason. We at BroncoTalk are still getting near-daily tips about Tebow news items, charity appearances, YouTube videos, or media mentions, with little slowing down. There’s just not enough time in the week to get through all of it without turning this blog into a veritable “TebowTalk,” and we’re not interested in that. With...

Dolphins to release Chad Henne

With Mark Sanchez's future in New York far from certain, the Jets could turn to a familiar foe to challenge their faltering quarterback.

Brady Quinn says Tim Tebow doesn’t seem very humble

Anything Brady Quinn says about Tim Tebow should be taken with a grain of salt. If Quinn were not bitter toward Tebow for the way things have gone in Denver, that would be a bit of a surprise. Quinn still wants a chance to start in the NFL, and Tebow came out of nowhere and jumped him on the depth chart and completely stole the show in Denver. While people tend to praise Tebow for...

Fox: Broncos will add two more QBs

Tim Tebow will still be the starter, but Denver Broncos coach John Fox said Monday he is likely to acquire two more quarterbacks this offseason to compete for the position.

Report: Tim Tebow talks to Jeremy Lin

Linsanity has finally met Tebow-mania -- sort of. Knicks breakout star Jeremy Lin and Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow have "connected," according to Adrian Tam, Lin's former chaplain at Harvard. "They've spoken over the telephone. Jeremy's been a fan of Tebow's for a while, but only recently were they able to connect," Tam told People magazine...

Fox indicates Broncos will run a “regular” offense

Broncos coach John Fox was lauded for changing his offense during the 2011 to take advantage of Tim Tebow’s strengths. With an offseason to prepare Tebow as a starter, it sure sounds like Fox wants to make Tebow look more like the rest of quarterbacks in the NFL. “[Tebow] is going to be a great…

Agnosticism Toward The NFL

A long-time New England Patriots fan - and a friend of mine (justifiably) - had very strong feelings about the Super Bowl. After the big game, he described the loss as “(It was like) getting over a rape and PTSD. Then my persecutor returned a few years later and assaulted me on National Television yet again.” Certainly, in no context are such feelings healthy or admirable. It...
