The Washington Redskins started the 2011 NFL season with a 3-1 start and Rex Grossman at quarterback. Both of those would be short lived as they would finish 5-11 and at the bottom of the NFC East. The bright spot for the Redskins were two victories over the eventual Super Bowl Champion Giants. One reason for the slide under head coach Mike Shanahan was the takeaway/giveaway differential which was ranked 30th in the NFL. Most of that was thanks to the quarterbacking play of Grossman and John Beck. The Redskins are in desperate need of a solid quarterback and have been rumored to possibly move up to take Robert Griffin III out of Baylor. If for some reason they are unable to make a move they should be in the hunt for Peyton Manning or at least Matt Flynn.
