The Tampa Bay Buccaneers started the 2011 season promising, leading the dangerous NFC South with a 4-2 record including a win over the New Orleans Saints. Since that point, the Bucs then lost ten straight in an embarrassing free-fall from their promising start. To remedy the troubles seen in 2011, the Bucs need to draft exceptionally well and spend in free agency unlike recent offseasons. They have sat on the free agency sidelines in recent years and have insisted on building solely through the draft instead, including last offseason despite having the most cap space in the league. GM Mark Dominik’s vow to spend in free agency this offseason will obviously have an impact on the needs the Bucs will have going into April’s draft. Despite any free agent acquisitions, the Bucs still have several holes on the roster to fill, putting them in a position where they have to hit and draft starters this April if they really want to see a turnaround and build a young core. ...
