Andy Dalton proved he has improved his arm strength, but when it comes to other major offseason questions about the Bengals, there still remain a lot of questions going into training camp.Offensively, there still isn't a clear consensus on who the No. 2 receiver is going to be. Brandon Tate, who hardly saw any snaps at receiver last season after being claimed on waivers following...
Running back Cedric Benson has been in an NFL black hole so far this offseason. At 29, Benson, who was released by the Cincinnati Bengals earlier this year, finds himself unemployed after three straight 1,000 yard seasons placing him in that uncomfortable void of space, somewhere between rejection and retirement. How can someone’s stock plummet [...]
After the 2011 season, the Cincinnati Bengals finished with one of the top defenses in the NFL, mainly due to a defensive line that featured emerging stars Geno Atkins, who was honored with a Pro Bowl appearance, and Carlos Dunlap. While they created plenty of pressure, the linebacking core was largely average except the serendipitous performance of free agent signing Thomas Howard...
Inidanpolis Colts tight end Coby Fleener, who is sitting in this week for Peter King's Monday Morning Quarterback, wrote that Bengals cornerback Adam 'Pacman' Jones told the crowd at the Rookie Symposium that he once dropped $1 million in one weekend during the height of his partying days.
In case you haven't heard, 'Pacman' is no longer with us. All...
Andy Dalton has a big future ahead of him.
The NFL Network has helped the offseason pass with an interesting but controversial list of the Top 100 Players in the NFL. The list was supposedly voted on by current NFL players, but many fans (including myself) think the list is a piece of crap and doesn’t even come close to truly reflecting the best players in the league. For...
A couple of weeks ago Pro Football Talk released updated salary cap numbers, with the Bengals resting comfortably at $16.58 million under the salary cap. On Sunday Brian McIntyre with NFL.com, who uses a source with access to salary cap data, that number has further shrunk to $16,309,693. Considering that the Cincinnati Bengals haven't made a transaction since the team released...
The woman who was shopping sexually explicit photos of Terrell Owens to a variety of media outlets has reportedly withdrawn her offer. Here’s who else but TMZ:
The woman [...] tells us she’s had a “change of heart” and will NOT sell the pics to anyone, for any price. [...]
The seller also admits she was NOT the person on the other side of the X-rated Skype convo with T.O...
Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Adam “Pacman” Jones told players during a panel discussion at the NFL’s Rookie Symposium that he once spent $1 million in one weekend. Indianapolis Colts rookie tight end Coby Fleener shared the information Monday on SI.com. Joining Jones on the panel last Thursday was currently unemployed receiver Terrell Owens, who said “Man, you crazy”...
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Oakland Raiders are still interested in free agent running back Cedric Benson.
“They’re still interested in signing Cedric Benson. Cedric Benson is still on the Raiders’ radar,” said Schefter, per Evan Silva.
Not sure what the Raiders are waiting for. They just might be unwilling to pay Benson whatever he’s asking for.
It would seem that Adam Jones has left “Pacman” in his past. The Cincinnati Bengals cornerback spoke at the rookie symposium last week and while he encouraged the younger players to stay on the straight and narrow path during their NFL careers (and thereafter, of course), he used examples from his past as a deterrent. [...]
