TEAMS: Seattle Seahawks, Green Bay Packers, Atlanta Falcons, Arizona Cardinals, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Written by: Matthew Blunk
The Seattle Seahawks will have a new look next season, and I don't just mean the alarmingly awful new Nike uniforms. Matt Flynn will presumably become the third different starting quarterback for Seattle in three seasons. Flynn has a strong résumé for a guy who's never been a starter in the NFL. He's been a national champion in college at LSU; he holds Green Bay Packers single-game passing records for yards (480) and touchdowns (6); and he won Super Bowl XLV with the Pack (albeit as Aaron Rodgers' backup).
And so the Seahawks believe they have a quarterback they can build around. Head coach Pete Carroll has turned this team around quickly. Seattle is an up-and-comer with a good defense and now some potential on offense. If Flynn can gel with the receiving corps, the NFC West could be wide open once again. But the Seahawks still have some work to do in fleshing out their roster.
Middle Linebacker
Signing Barrett Ruud was was a stopgap maneuver, as the Seahawks continue their journey in trying to replace Lofa Tatupu. Ruud once resembled an upper-tier player on his way to elite status with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but he has since slipped to mediocrity. He is a veteran, though, so he can at least be relied on to be a leader in the locker room. Seattle should draft a more athletic type next week to push Ruud.
Guard
The Hawks have plenty of bodies at this position, but few with the talent to make a difference in football games. John Moffit can develop into a good starter, but that will take some time. Deuce Lutui was brought on board, and he knows Carroll well, but if the Arizona Cardinals had no use for him, how would the Seahawks?
Defensive End
Chris Clemons has terrific pass-rushing ability, and Red Bryant is a valuable, strong left end. But the reinforcements are subpar. Seattle could use more depth and maybe even a guy that could come in and push the starters. The Seahawks have a solid, disciplined defense that could push into the elite class with an effective pass rush.
