Pittsburgh Steelers restricted free agent wide receiver Mike Wallace will not be reporting today to Latrobe for the start of training camp, but optimism is growing that he will be arriving in the next several days.
Both Emmanuel Sanders and Keenan Lewis told the media today in interviews upon their arrival that they expect Wallace to arrive over the course of the next week. Lewis...
TALK IT OUT
The Steelers reportedly are suspending contract negotiations with wide receiver Mike Wallace who is looking for a long-term deal.
Not much to report just yet on the day that the Pittsburgh Steelers report to Latrobe for training camp. The real news will not start filtering in until later on in the day, closer to the 4:00 p.m. reporting deadline.
The only real thing to report thus far is that Omar Khan, the Steelers Business and Football Administration Coordinator, now has a promotion and a title change,...
If you have been reading this site for a while now, and listening to the podcast, you have heard me mention the veteran cap credits the Pittsburgh Steelers once again have that their discretion to use towards the salary cap this season.
In short, these cap credits are in the new CBA to help teams gradually step up to the increase in the salary cap that is expected to take place...
Will Pittsburgh Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger take too many sacks in 2012? In short, the answer is yes. Will it be less than in the past? Almost certainly the number of sacks should go down. Why will the sacks go down? Generally speaking, Todd Haley was brought in to specifically change to an offense that [...]
Brett Keisel wins the 2012 training camp entrance of the year award. Name another guy who drove a tractor like 20 miles to Latrobe, PA for Steelers training camp. You can’t. AND…Keisel had his luggage in the loader. AND…the guy showed up with that grizzly beard. AND…it’s like 120 degrees in PA with the humidity.
AND..you show us a rookie who has the guts to not sing his...
The Steelers have resigned offensive tackle Max Starks. There was a lot of doubt about this because Starks tore his ACL in January and because Starks was out of football as recently as last October with weight issues. However, he’s still only 30 years old and played pretty well as the Steelers’ left tackle last year. He allowed 6 sacks, 7 quarterback hits, and 20 quarterback...
The afternoon practice today started at 2:55pm and will run until about 5pm. With the exception of those players on the PUP list, all are expected to participate in the first full day of training camp. James Harrison, Max Starks, Da-mon Cromartie-Smith, Rashard Mendenhall, Casey Hampton, and Jason Worilds are on the list and cannot practice with the team until they are removed from...
One of the hot topics, well let’s just say semi warm topics I suppose, this off season for the Steeler Nation was the case of Mike Tomlin and his contract extension coming at some point. Obviously the Mike Wallace talks dominated most of the contract situations, as did 1st round pick David DeCastro here of late but the Steelers got their deal done with their head coach in typical...
According to Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Steelers wide receiver Mike Wallace decided on his own to hold out.
Wallace’s agent Bus Cook had nothing to do with his decision to hold out from reporting to training camp.
“According to sources, Wallace is driving the bus on this one. It is the wide receiver’s idea to hold out of training camp and, because...

Despite a premature congratulations by a teammate yesterday, it looks like Mike Wallace and the Pittsburgh Steelers did not actually come to an agreement on an extension. Today, ESPN’s John Clayton is reporting that not only have talks between the two sides broken...

Take Troy Polamalu, remove his pads and helmet, let him roam free to make vicious hits on a rugby pitch and you have 25-year-old Aussie stud Greg Inglis. The guy pretty much tried to kill his opponent, Dean Young, over the weekend in a match against St George Illawarra. Watch this hit. Watch it closely. Watch it a few times. Watch it in full speed. As you can imagine, Australia...
The Pittsburgh Steelers have rewarded coach Mike Tomlin with a
