As we do every day, below is a recap of the practice that we have collected from several members of the media as well as a few call in reports we received from fans in attendance.

James Harrison & Jason Worilds Not Expected Back For At Least Two Weeks
My podcast co-host David Todd talked to Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker coach Keith Butler on Wednesday for ESPN 970 Radio and late in the interview he asked Butler if he had any update on when he thought outside linebackers James Harrison and Jason Worilds would be back.
"I'm hoping in a couple of weeks, but I don't know," said Butler.
David asked if that timetable...
Steelers Sign CB Josh Victorian, Waive CB Terry Carter Injured
The Pittsburgh Steelers made a roster move on Friday as cornerback Terry Carter was placed on the waived/injured list presumably because of a hamstring injury that he suffered early in the week. To take his place on the 90 man roster the Steelers signed free agent cornerback Josh Victorian out of Louisiana Tech.
Victorian, who reportedly measured in at 5-10, 190-pounds, went to...
Hines Ward the latest retired NFL player to join NBC
Former Pittsburgh Steelers receiver Hines Ward has joined the NBC Sports Group and is said to be an analyst for NBC’s college football along with joining the cast of Football Night in America. NBC announced that Ward, a 14-year veteran, four-time Pro Bowler, two-time Super Bowl champion, Super bowl XL MVP, and Dancing With The Stars winner, [...]
An Early Look At The Steelers 2013 Salary Cap Situation
I have had several emails as of late asking about the 2013 salary cap situation for the Pittsburgh Steelers and I now have time to knock out a post about it.
Several are worried about all of the restructures over the last few seasons and what it has done to 2013. The other worry is that the salary cap will remain flat in 2013, which it likely will.
Let us first start off by...
Meet The Goodells: Pittsburgh Steelers
Crazy Steelers fans are something else…
PITTSBURGH STEELERS:
2011 RECORD – 12-4: The Baltimore Ravens completed a season sweep of the Steelers, and in turn relegated Pittsburgh to wild card weekend. A run-in with the NFL’s messiah led to an early postseason exit for the defending AFC champs. While the Denver loss was shocking, the seeds for an early Pittsburgh playoff...
2012 Steelers training camp: Is Willie Colon the next Chris Kemoeatu?
So one of the big stories in camp, as if there weren’t enough already, is the return of Willie Colon and of course his move to guard from tackle. If you’ve been following any of the chatter coming out of camp so far one of the things you’ve noticed is all the scrapping going on. Mike Tomlin likes this kind of intensity in camp, it shows the players care about what they’re...
Steelers offensive line embraces 'nastiness'
Ramon Foster gives a wide smile, looks to the ground sheepishly and laughs quietly.
Like most of the men he lines up next to on the Pittsburgh Steelers offensive line, Foster is affable, fun-loving and often flashes that smile - off the field, anyway.
In the trenches? A different story.
Much different.
What induced Foster's chuckle on a muggy late morning earlier this week...
Bruised ankle keeps Big Ben out
A day after leaving practice a few minutes early because a teammate stepped on his foot during a drill, Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger did not practice Sunday.
The two-time Super Bowl winner denied a Saturday report that he had a left ankle sprain, characterizing it as a ''simple bruise.''
''He should be fine,'' coach Mike Tomlin...
Ben Roethlisberger says his torn rotator cuff won’t be an issue
As training camp continues for the Pittsburgh Steelers this week, Ed Bouchette wrote a piece about Ben Roethlisberger, covering various topics not the least of which included Ben’s comments about his slightly torn rotator cuff. According to Ben he’s more worried about when Mike Wallace will return than about his shoulder.
Ben Roethlisberger does not seem as concerned about his...
Rashard Mendenhall’s timetable is unclear
Getty Images
According to the San Francisco Chronicle, Pittsburgh Steelers running back Rashard Mendenhall has indicated that he’s on schedule with his recover from ACL surgery. The problem is that he doesn’t know when he’ll be ready to get back on the field.
“Seven months to the day after tearing the ACL in his right knee, Rashard Mendenhall said on Wednesday that he’s...
Antonio Brown contract the death knell for Wallace as a Steeler?
It’s a pretty simple concept; the Steelers ask Mike Wallace to sign his tender, come to camp and negotiate on good faith or they would cease negotiations. This is something the Steelers should be considered good for as they have no history of screwing over a player this way before. Of course, Mike Wallace held [...]

Roethlisberger played with a torn rotator cuff
Ben Roethlisberger had a bum ankle towards the end of last season, and according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, he was also dealing with a tear in his right rotator cuff since November of 2011.
Roethlisberger told the Post-Gazette, "I’m good. It’s OK, just sore. I have a little torn rotator cuff. That doesn’t heal. We just have to hope it doesn’t tear the rest of...
Pittsburgh Steelers Favorites to Reclaim AFC North Throne From Baltimore Ravens
Whenever a club other than the Pittsburgh Steelers or Baltimore Ravens wins the AFC North Division, it’s considered an upset. And that would be the case again in 2012 as the Steelers and Ravens are clear-cut favorites to win arguably the NFL’s most physical division. Baltimore finished 12-4 overall last year to tie with Pittsburgh atop the North, but the Ravens won the tiebreaker...
Four Former Players Retire As Steelers Before Night Practice
Joey Porter, Willie Parker, and Aaron and Marvel Smith -- standout players from the past decade for the Steelers -- were honored Friday night in a ceremony before the team's annual night practice at Latrobe Memorial Stadium where they "retired" as Steelers. "This is home. Even when I left -- it was OK to go and play for Miami and Arizona ... but there's nothing...
