The Chicago Bears' focus this offseason was to upgrade their offense and they did a great job through free agency and the draft. They acquired Brandon Marshall on March 13th after trading the Dolphins two third-round draft picks. Then, they traded up in the second round of the draft to nab South Carolina stud wideout Alshon Jeffery.
After a stellar sophomore year in Columbia that included 1,517 receiving yards and nine TDs, Jeffery was projected as a first-round pick in the 2012 NFL Draft. His numbers dropped significantly in his junior season, where he only had 762 yards and eight touchdowns.
He played the 2011 college season at 230 pounds, giving scouts concern that he would not possess break-away speed. But at the Combine, Jeffery came in lean and mean at 216 pounds and ran a 4.48 40-yard dash.
That was enough for the Bears to pass on LSU receiver Rueben Randle and trade their fifth-round pick to get Jeffery at No. 45 overall. He has a great learning curve seeing how ...

Chicago Bears franchise quarterback, Jay Cutler, is literally all thumbs when it comes to leading his significantly upgraded offense in 2012. Cutler had season ending surgery after injuring his right thumb in Week 11 last year but says it is all better and is ready to return. According to NFL.com Cutler had this to say
