Found March 29, 2012 on Steelers Depot:
The majority of the major pro days are now in the books and the compensatory picks have been handed out as well. With that behind us it is time for my 2012 Pittsburgh Steelers mock draft version 3.0. I will likely have at least 2 more mock drafts before my final one and if you have been following along through mock draft versions 1.0 and 2.0, you will see that I make slight changes as I work towards my final mock. I do not predict trades and do not even attempt to. I mock by the draft positions that are currently on the board. As more of the 2012 pre draft visitors are announced, it certainly will Read more [...]

Report: Mike Tomlin Worried About Ability Of Emmanuel Sanders & Willie Colon To Stay Healthy

If you have read this site for a while or are a long time listener of the podcast, you know that I have long been worried about the feet of Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders ever since his second surgery. Steelers’ Faith in Sylvester Could Effect Draft

Ever since he emerged in Training camp in 2010 I had a feeling Stevenson Sylvester could be another in a long line of All-Pro Steelers linebackers. Sylvester has the speed and skills to be a great interior linebacker. Following his junior year at Utah Sylvester was projected to go in the second roun Continue

Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin says coaching changes were his decision

This offseason, the Pittsburgh Steelers made a change in their coaching ranks, replacing offensive coordinators. Head coach Mike Tomlin, speaking to reporters for the first time since early January, said the decision to replace Bruce Arians with Todd Haley was his and his alone. Arians announced his “retirement” in January but eventually joined the Indianapolis Colts...

WR Hines Ward to join the coaching ranks?

Recently retired Pittsburgh Steelers WR Hines Ward might be done playing football, but he isn’t done with football. The prolific wide receiver might be interested in joining the coaching ranks. On Tuesday, Ward was on the field at the University of Georgia’s spring practice, shadowing the coaching staff. University of Georgia offensive coordinator Mike Bobo told...

There was a report out today from Mike Klis of the Denver Post that the Broncos are likely to receive the Sunday Night Game in week 1.  There is also talk that the Steelers are one of the prime candidates to play the Broncos on National Television.  Whether it is nationally televised or not the Steelers should be playing the Broncos in week 1 for competition purposes. We all know...

Speaking publicly for the first time since the departure of Offensive Coordinator Bruce Arians and the hiring of Todd Haley to the same...

Mike Tomlin did an interview at the coaches breakfast at the NFL meetings yesterday.  During that interview he expressed that he is looking to add another running back.  It could be in either free agency or the draft.  With the loss of Mendenhall and with how uncertain it is that he will return fully healthy the team is looking at running backs.  They have Isaac Redman as the...

Second Alabama Pro-Day Worth Paying Attention To For Steelers Fans

By Christopher DiMarino The second Alabama pro day is scheduled for today and should be fun to watch. In particular, many black and gold eyes are focused on linebacker Dont’a Hightower. He wasn’t really considered a 1st round talent until...
