The new drinking game for Chicago Bears telecasts this year: “Marc Trestman is a quarterback whisperer.” I’m already very sick of this, and we’re still weeks away from the actual season even starting! We’ll see if he can solve Jay Cutler; optimize him. Like no other quarterback coach can.
By the way, if you’re looking for the shortest possible football books “Jay Cutler cares” would be right at the top of the list.
Everyone knows that the greatest rap album of all time, the double album “All Eyez on Me” is a mantra that definitely applies to Cutler. He’s not Pac, but he’s all the Chicago Bears have, have recently had, and will have for a long while probably. We won’t even talk about the Chicago Bears second string QB because the season is over if we’re talking about him.
The Bears recently brought in Trent Edwards and Jordan Palmer to fight for the last QB spot. Palmer sucks, and I’ve never even hard of him but Edwards sucks too. And his suckitude is pretty well known. He also

This is the final installment of our series previewing the Chicago Bears season. To see the other parts click on the links at the bottom here. It’s pretty hard to forecast the Chicago Bears season a couple weeks before the year even kicks off. Schedule strength doesn’t matter as much in the NFL a it does in college football.
The NFL has much more parity, and a much longer season...
The Chicago Bears should start Kyle Long and Jordan Mills for their third preseason game on August 23. Their play against the San Diego Chargers more than warrants that thought, and praise from one Jay Cutler should all but guarantee a second start.
If the hot and cold Cutler can feel safe behind any offensive linemen and admit it publicly, then the Bears’ coaching staff has to...
Former Chicago Bears first-round draft pick David Terrell was charged with felony drug charges of manufacturing or delivery of cannabis and a misdemeanor count of battery, according to John Mirabelli of the Chicago Police Department.
Officers received a call of smoking marijuana on Friday afternoon and conducted an interview with Terrell, according to the police report. Cannabis...
J'Marcus Webb has been a topic of frustration during his first three years in the NFL, and it appears he may have been granted a fourth year at a reduced rate. Some sharp-eyed Bears fans noticed on the official NFL.com transaction report website that Webb has signed what is being termed a renegotiated contract.
Webb is in the final year of his four-year rookie year deal...

We break down the flurry of player personnel moves the Chicago Bears made over the weekend and how these transactions will impact the final 53-man roster.
In the latest edition of Bear Report radio we discuss the impact of the rookies on offense and defense in the Chargers game. J'Marcus Webb's restructured contract and what it means for his chances to remain on the roster this season and much more.
Chicago’s pass rush was without Henry Melton and Julius Peppers on Thursday, yet the rest of the defensive linemen showed the depth and diversity of the Bears’ defensive front.
In the Chicago Bears receiving corps, it’s Brandon Marshall, and just a bunch of guys. On the other side in the secondary, it’s Pro-Bowlers everywhere. Charles Peanut Tillman is a pro’s pro. He gets it done on the field and just snatches the ball away from opponents. Like John Madden once hilariously and infamously said of Peanut “he’s the best stripper in football.”...
(Via Fantasyfootballgod.net) San Diego Chargers vs Chicago Bears:
- Jay Cutler completed his only 4 passes to Brandon Marshall who had 4 catches for 38 yards and 1 touchdown. Matt Forte showed why he is a top fantasy back busting a 58 yard TD run finishing the game with 8 carries for 74 yards.
- Chargers second year tight end Ladarius Green had 3 receptions for 56 yards and...
After having his pay slashed last week, are the days of J’Marcus Webb as an offensive tackle for the Chicago Bears nearing an end? We consider all the factors that will weigh into that decision.
Chicago Bears QB Jay Cutler will be on a tv show about fantasy football when the quarterback guest stars in an upcoming episode this September. Jay Cutler flew to Los Angeles earlier this month to tape an episode of “The League,” a sitcom set in Chicago and the posh upscale suburb of Winnetka. Coincidentally, it’s the same town where Jay Cutler and wife Kristin Cavallari are...
