2013 NFL Draft Buffalo Bills team needs
What could the Bills be looking for on draft day?
Here is my list of 2013 NFL Draft Buffalo Bills team needs and a couple prospects that could fill those needs:
Wide Receiver- Tavon Austin (8), Quinton Patton (41), Robert Woods (41), Justin Hunter (41), Da’Rick Rodgers (71)
The Bills need weapons in Doug Marrone’s new offense. While Cordarrelle Patterson could be an option at eight, I can’t see him going that high.
Linebacker- Kiko Alonso (71), Sio Moore (71), Sean Porter (105), Zavier Gooden (105)
The Bills need athletic linebackers in their defense.
Safety- Matt Elam (41), DJ Swearinger (41), Shamarko Thomas (71), JJ Wilcox (105), Duke Williams (105)
While they still have one of the best in Jairus Byrd, they will need someone to take some pressure off, and be able to play in the box a little bit.
Tight End- Travis Kelce (41), Gavin Escobar (71), Vance McDonald (71), Chris Gragg (143)
Much like the wide receiver position, the Bills need some weapons at the tight end position for their new hybrid west coast offense.
Quarterback- Geno Smith (8), EJ Manuel (41), Matt Barkley (41), Zac Dysert (71), Matt Scott (71)
While I don’t see quarterback as a huge need, I think we will see the Bills take one in this draft to begin to develop behind Kevin Kolb, and likely take over when he gets injured (ok that’s the bitter Cardinals fan in me).
The Bills will be in an interesting position as they have key needs at wide receiver and tight end, but they will likely want to take a quarterback fairly early in order to start their development in the complex Marrone/Hackett offense.
Sprinkle in the possibility of an offensive linemen early, I could see them moving Glenn inside, or taking an interior lineman to replace the departed Andy Levitre, and the Bills will be in business for their 2013 remodel.
Does this look like the 2013 NFL Draft Buffalo Bills team needs to you Bills fans?
