Veteran wide receiver Plaxico Burress will remain with his former team again in the 2013 season. Burress was re-signed by the Pittsburgh Steelers just prior to the start of the free agency period. The veteran pass catcher struggled on the field in 2012 but if he can remain healthy next season, he should see some added playing time as the Steelers will be without the services of Mike Wallace, who signed soon after the start of free agency with the Miami Dolphins.
Burress re-joined the Steelers last season late in the year and played just three games for Pittsburgh while being inactive for three games.
Pittsburgh also re-signed free agent linebacker Larry Foote on Tuesday. Foote started all 16 games last season for the Steelers while finishing the season with four sacks and 113 tackles.
