[caption id="" align="aligncenter" width="635"] Rob Gronkowski top all tight ends in our 2013 PPR Fantasy Football Rankings.[/caption] Welcome to the final installment of the FantasyPPR.com way too early PPR Fantasy Football Rankings for the 2013 NFL season. We have already released our rankings for quarterbacks, running backs and wide receivers and now it is time to rank the top 25 tight end in point per reception scoring formats for 2013. Once again the tight end position will have plenty on intrigue entering next season, with the biggest affecting the top part of rankings being the pending retirement of Atlanta Falcons tight end Tony Gonzalez. Gonzalez, the former first-round pick out of Cal, said before the season he was 99 percent sure he was going to retire, but after his best statistical season since 2008 and after being apart of his first playoff victory and getting to the doorstep of the Super Bowl, Falcons general manager Thomas Dimitroff believes there is now a 50-50 chance Gonzo returns in 2013. If the 13-time Pro Bowl and six-time All-Pro, does decide to return for next season, it will be a coup for fantasy owners, because he is one of the few sure-fire elite tight ends left in fantasy football right now. Outside of Gonzalez, there are few dependable high-end options at the position. Rob Gronkowski is obviously one of the elite players and is actually in a class by himself. Had he not had his season interrupted by injury, his 2012 season could have been even better than the record-setting one of 2011. Fantasy-wise Gronk was dominant. He finished fifth among tight ends in fantasy points in point per reception formats and that was despite playing in just 11 games. Gronkowski was so dominant in fact, that he averaged an incredible 2.53 fantasy points per target in 2012. Vernon Davis was the only other player to post more than two fantasy points per target at 2.01 points per target, so it's safe to say that Gronk is the top fantasy tight end heading to 2013.
