This week, the Nick Foles-led Eagles travel to Tampa Bay to take on the Buccaneers.
The Bucs have historically been trouble for the Eagles, whether it’s booting them from the playoffs (2003) or kicking a historically long field goal at the buzzer to win the game (2006).
And while the Bucs are 0-4, they have to win a game sometime. And this week, at least rookie Mike Glennon now has full game under his belt. And their defense is pretty good, unlike the Eagles. Glennon should have an easier day this week (although he did get to play against the also-not-good-on-D Cardinals in his first game, so maybe not).
One big question for this week will be the running game. Without the threat of Michael Vick taking off, defenses can devote a lot more energy and people to stopping Shady McCoy. But I think DJax is right – Revis Island CAN’T run as fast as he can. In the end, though, I don’t think the Bucs are going to be able to shut down the Eagles or keep them from scoring, and I think...

Nick Foles prepares each week like he's one play away from being the starter. It's no different now that he's taking first-team reps in practice.
After stepping in for an injured Michael Vick and helping lead the Philadelphia Eagles (2-3) to a 36-21 win over the New York Giants, Foles is getting ready to make his seventh career start, if needed, at Tampa Bay (0-4) on...
If Michael Vick is unable to play Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Nick Foles would make his first start of the season. Foles' teammates don't expect the offense to miss a beat.
Michael Vick's availability for Sunday's game is still up in the air despite practicing in a limited capacity Tuesday following his hamstring injury against the Giants.
After Philadelphia Eagles QB Michael Vick left last week’s game with an injured hamstring and Nick Foles came in to lead the team to victory, it immediately sparked talk of a quarterback controversy.
Chip Kelly initially squashed any such notion by saying that Vick is still the team’s starting QB after the game last Sunday. However, on Monday he seemed to change his tune a...
Nick Foles has passed the ImPACT concussion test and will practice with the Philadelphia Eagles on Tuesday.
Foles sustained a concussion in a 17-3 loss to Dallas on Oct. 20. It was his second start filling in for Michael Vick, who re-injured his left hamstring in the first half of a 15-7 loss to the New York Giants on Sunday.
Matt Barkley finished off both games, and offensive...
Michael Vick isn’t an expendable piece of the Philadelphia Eagles’ puzzle – yet. With a great performance by Nick Foles on Sunday, Vick may be on his way out of Philadelphia. The Eagles haven’t exactly been a success story with their new-look offense this season. The team has moved the ball, often very effectively, but points have been tougher to come by, and Michael Vick’s...
Philadelphia Eagles backup quarterback Nick Foles threw a pass for the second straight game on Sunday against the New York Giants.Except this time it was for real. After starter Michael Vick injured his hamstring on a rushing attempt, head coach Chip Kelly inserted Foles into the game after Vick was visibly hurt. Foles stepped in seamlessly, throwing for 197 yards, two touchdowns...

The question is clear. Nick Foles or Michael Vick. With Vick healthy, he is the starter. Yet Foles led the Eagles to a season saving win over the Giants last Sunday. The question is up in the air, and nobody has a clear answer. What is clear is how it is going to affect the team.
While the Eagles say...

Say what you want about his hair, or funny features, but Nick Foles can throw the football. Foles will mostly like start for the Eagles on Sunday because of Michael Vick’s hamstring.

It remains to be seen if reports earlier this week that Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick would be out on Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were inaccurate, but at the very least they appear premature...
