The 2014 Hall Of Fame inductees are being announced tonight. Here’s a look at the players who have been selected so far. We’ll have more updates as the announcements are made. Derrick Brooks Brooks was selected in the first-round of the 1995 NFL Draft out of Florida State by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Brooks played his entire 11-year-career for the Buccaneers. Along the way he won the 2002 Defensive Player of the Year, was voted to 11 Pro Bowls and was a nine-time All-Pro. I loved watching that guy years ago. Andre Reed Reed was drafted by the Buffalo Bills in the fourth round of the 1985 draft. He played 15 seasons for the Bills before later finishing his career with the Washington Redskins. He helped the Bills appear in four straight Super Bowls, although they unfortunately lost all of them. Reed was voted to seven Pro Bowls and was selected to two All Pro second-teams. Walter Jones Jones also played his college football at the University of Florida State. He was drafted in the fir...

Derrick Brooks inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame

Former Buccaneers’ linebacker Derrick Brooks was a fan favorite on and off the field. His play on the field equaled that of his charitable work off the gridiron. On Saturday, the player and person that is Brooks was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame – a much deserving honor.  After being selected 28th overall in the 1995 NFL draft, Brooks became an important piece...

Derrick Brooks' wait for Hall of Fame appropriately short

TAMPA, Fla. -- There are no locks, but Derrick Brooks was as secure as a first-year finalist could be. There are no certainties, but the former Tampa Bay Buccaneers linebacker entered Saturday's Pro Football Hall of Fame vote much like he did most of his decorated 14-year career: As a constant, a sure thing. Canton is calling. Another Buc is on his way. There are many notable...

The flash is all in Andre Reed's name

My older sister is the main reason I became a Bills fan. She'd do anything I wanted as far as football went whether it was taking me to games or going to Toys "R" Us to get football cards. As a kid, I was an avid collector of cards and autographs. I mean, I wasn't Mike Schopp or anything, but as a 10-year-old, I thought I held my own in the racketeering business...

Is Steve Tasker a hall of famer?

I am really hoping that this weekend we hear Andre Reed’s name called as a member of the hall of fame class of 2014. As we anticpate the announcement there is one last guy I’d like to make a case for and that is one Steve Tasker. First of all, I get sick of hearing that he was a part-time player. Listen; if you fundamentally change your sport, then you are a Hall of Famer. Tasker...

Blogger debate: Andre Reed vs. Marvin Harrison

Joe: So we are about 24 hours away from the HOF vote and there seems to be a debate about who should get in first, Andre Reed or Marvin Harrison. Gotta love HOF debates. So, instead of me being bias and saying Reed should get in before Harrison, I wanted to reach out to Greg over at Colts Authority to see if he agrees with me that Reed should get in before Harrison..Come on, Greg...
