The Dallas Cowboys had an all-around strong draft, and did many things right. They didn't do everything right in the eyes of many fans, but they still had a strong overall draft. One thing I believe that many fans were hoping to see but that didn't happen, was that they didn't draft a quarterback in the mid to late rounds. While the team did bring in West Texas A&M quarterback Dustin Vaughan, you probably haven't heard the name, and likely won't get excited until he gets a shot to prove himself, which he may not at all.The Cowboys addressed the wide out position, addressed defense, and quietly have now put together one of the stronger offensive lines in the NFL as well. Today though, I'm going to take a look at the four best overall picks that the Cowboys made. This includes the value of where they got the player, which is important to remember, since I'm not just ranking based on pure talent.4. Ahmad Dixon- S, BaylorDixon is a hard-hitter, and you can bet that he's going to go out and put everything he has on the field for this team. The fact that the Cowboys got him with a compensatory pick makes it even better in my mind. Dixon has a ton of upside, and while I don't think he'll be starting or anything crazy this year, I do think that he has a chance to make an impact in the future.3. Zack Martin- OT, Notre DameI won't lie, a large part of this is due to the fact that Jerry Jones showed he's capable of making the pick about football, instead of about money. Johnny Manziel was there, but instead he drafted Martin, which is an excellent pick, and is going to end up being a massive steal for a Cowboys team that just made Tony Romo's life a whole lot easier.2. Devin Street- WR, PittsburghI love Street's upside, he has so much potential and has excellent hands. Street also has good size at 6'3, but needs to put some muscle on, which is something I'm sure will be addressed immediately. With all of the offensive weapons that the Cowboys have, I think the ex-Pitt Panther who holds the school record as the all-time leading pass catcher could make a big difference on this offense.1. Demarcus Lawrence- DE, Boise StateI watched carefully on Twitter when this pick happened, and it wasn't all pretty. Some fans were up in arms about the Cowboys giving away their third round pick as well as their second to move up to the top of the second round, but it was the right move. Lawrence is just what this team needs, and that's someone to get to the quarterback. I think he immediately steps in and gets a whole lot of playing time for the Cowboys' defense.
