Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) American Heritage High School QB Torrance Gibson (6’4/196) is one of the best at his position for the 2015 class. It has also been a while since a Miami area quarterback was being recruited as hard as Gibson. Right now, he holds up to ten offers from schools such as Miami, Alabama, Boston College, Clemson, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Ohio State and UCF. Although, he does not list any early favorites, he does have a warm spot for his home town school. Gibson talks about landing an offer from Miami. “It’s a very big deal, it’s a great school with a great legacy,” Gibson said. “All time greats went there– Ray Lewis, Clinton Portis, Santana Moss, Ed Reed have big legacies there. I just love Miami.” Another thing going in Miami’s favor, are the improvements they are making to the football facilities. “The campus is beautiful,” Gibson said. They are building something, and the place looks great.” Although, the play-caller has not been able to make it to any of Al Golden’s camps this month; he hopes to be in attendance for the camp that takes place on June 23. He is also planning to attend a camp at Ohio State, later this summer. In a few months, Gibson will be joining the notorious “South Florida Express” 7-on-7 team. The SFE will be in Bradenton later this month; competing for the  IMG 7-v-7 National Championship trophy.
