22 at first day of offense’s workouts

While the defense was training in Mason, the offense was working out at UC. According to offensive tackle Andrew Whitworth, 22 were in attendance on the first day with more expected by the end of the week. Said Whitworth: “I’m pretty pleased how it went. We ran the offense, did some conditioning and got a chance to get our football legs back. We got a lot of quality work in.” When it comes to the roll call for rookies, second-rounder Andy Dalton, fourth-rounder Clint Boling and sixth-rounder Ryan Whalen were here. That leaves first-round pick A.J. Green and seventh-round selection Jay Finley as absent. Whitworth said Green could be here by the end of the week and that other players, like WR Jordan Shipley were getting in tonight.
