His name is Brown. That’s what they call him. Image via the Philadelphia Eagles. The words are more difficult to come by with each loss. What more is there to say? The nightmare that is the 2012 season for the Philadelphia Eagles continues. In a season with not much positivity, I can’t bear to write another somber account of yet another Eagles loss. At least not at the moment. There were a few bright spots from the Philadelphia Eagles’ 30-22 loss to the Carolina Panthers to highlight so let’s have a look. 1. They made it a game. This could be both a positive and a negative. We expected a blowout after Carolina scored two touchdowns in quick succession in the first quarter, but the Eagles made it a game and went into halftime with a 15-14 lead. Perhaps that glimmer of hope made the unraveling that happened later in the game, something to which we’ve grown far too accustomed as of late, that much more painful. Or not, as we just don’t expect much from this team anymore. But we saw tha...

Philadelphia Eagles fall to lowly Panthers

For the first time since 1994, the Philadelphia Eagles have lost seven straight games. This loss came at the hands of Cam Newton and the 3-8 Carolina Panthers by a score of 30-22. The saddest part about this game was that many of the talking heads on Philadelphia radio stations were saying on the post-game shows that at least this game was competitive. The Eagles have truly hit rock...

Fantasy Week 13 Waiver Wire

With most playoffs beginning this week or the next, your week 13 fantasy football picks could be key. Panthers 30, Eagles 22

PHILADELPHIA -- The Carolina Panthers struck for two long touchdown passes in the first half, and their defense came up with a crucial fourth-down stop in the fourth quarter of a 30-22 win over the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday night at Lincoln Financial Field. The Panthers (3-8) won despite a big day by Eagles rookie running back Bryce Brown, who rushed for 178 yards. However...

Futility

Thy name is “2012 Eagles.” Eagles v. Panthers, Monday, November 26, 2012 Stud of the week: Bryce Brown. Yes, he had two fumbles. But he also scored the Birds only two TDs and broke the rookie rushing record. Hey, the pickin’s are pretty slim these days, y’all. I was out last night, as was Chef Spouse. So, with neither of us knowing exactly when we’d get home, we set...

Fantasy Football: 5 Unusual Suspects Worth A Waiver Look

Killing us softly with their song... Carolina 30, Eagles 22...

It was remarkably quiet at the Linc last night...almost serene. Maybe the brisk temperature (36 F.) kept Iggles fans' frustrations in check. Or maybe the folks who did show up for the game ( 70% capacity) were just being respectful. After all, they were witnessing the death of the Andy Reid era in Philly. The only good thing about the eery funeral parlor atmosphere at the...
