3 Headed Monster

It appears the injury to Dallas Cowboys running back Marion Barber may have turned out to be a blessing. Of course at the time it was terrible for the team and the fans. That, along with injuries to Tony Romo and flashy rookie Felix Jones may have just been what sent the Cowboys Super Bowl predicted season down the drain.
Looking back at it, it was bad. Look closer and you may find that maybe it was not so bad after all. Tashard Choice emerged as a quality guy coming off the bench to fill the void. With 92 carries Choice rushed for 472 yards and 2 touchdowns. He showed signs of flash with a 50 yard third quarter reception against a tough Super Bowl winning Steelers defense. In fact, he seemed to be the only offensive player who could get into a groove in that game.
Of course the starting job is a toss up between the bruising beast of a runner in Barber and the extremly fast Felix Jones. Choice will be nice to come in and change the pase for either one of these guys and should get plenty of carries this season. Look for offensive coordinator Jason Garrett to focus a lot more on the running the especially with the departure of Terrell Owens.
