“Big Gulps, huh? Welp, see ya later.” – Lloyd Christmas It’s mid-December and it’s that time where Buffalo will start evaluating their younger talent as they have for the last decade plus. I’m keeping it short and sweet this week as the Bills performance does not warrant much commentary. As for the featured image? That’s Psy doing his best Ryan Fitzpatrick impression. What do I Billieve following Buffalo’s beatdown? Oh where do I begin? 1. C.J. Spiller: What Could Have Been… C.J. Spiller rushed the ball against the Seahawks 17 times for 103 yards and a touchdown. It was another notable performance for the Bills running back and with his day, Spiller eclipsed the 1,000 yard mark for the first time in his young career. Spiller reached the milestone on just 154 carries which in terms of carries is 2nd to only Beattie Feathers of the 1934 Chicago Bears. 2. The Defense was Offensive Man, this team knows how to make me look bad. I praised them up and down for the last four weeks and placed all the blame on the defense. I stated all the facts about how improved the team was against the run, how it was limiting teams to an average of 11 offensive points, etc. On Sunday, the defense looked just like they did in the beginning of the year: Lost. Wannstedt’s defense was exposed over and over again by Russell Wilson and the Seahawks. Yesterday, the Bills defense took a major step back. 3. Comparing 3rd Round Picks T.J. Graham: 3 catches, 32 yards, 4 drops Russell Wilson: 14/23 205 yards, 1 TD; 9 rushes, 92 yards 3 TD. I’m only comparing the two after GM Buddy Nix’s comments from this past week: “I firmly believe that winners come in all sizes,” said Nix. ”I think Russell Wilson was one and we knew that. We spent a lot of time with Russell and he was on our radar, but we had one, we felt like we had to have a speed receiver. They took him in the third and that was a little high for us as far as our needs. If you knew Russell Wilson was a winner and his only limit was his height, how was the 3rd round too high in terms of Buffalo’s needs? We desperately need a franchise QB and that should always supersede the need of a speed WR. I’m not saying Graham won’t turn into a decent NFL player, but if Buffalo was truly interested in Wilson, he should have been the pick in the third round of the draft.     The post 3 Things I “Billieve” Following the Buffalo’s Embarrassing 50-17 Loss to the Seattle Seahawks appeared first on Queen City Sports.

Season's over for Bills WR Jones, LB Moats

Buffalo Bills receiver Donald Jones' season is over after he was placed on the reserve/non-football illness list. Jones' agent, Cliff Laboy, said the illness is not serious, and is related to a calf injury that forced his client to miss two of the past three games. Jones first began experiencing tightness in his calf last month, and did not play against Jacksonville on Dec...

Bills backup LB Moats to miss final 2 games

Buffalo Bills reserve linebacker Arthur Moats will miss the final two games of the season after hurting his ankle. Coach Chan Gailey provided the update on Monday, a day after the player was hurt in the first half of a 50-17 loss to Seattle in a game played at Toronto. Gailey did not reveal the nature of the injury or which ankle the player had hurt. The Bills (5-9) are out of...

Bills replaces playoff objective with progress

With the playoffs out of the picture, quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick and the Buffalo Bills believe they still have something important to compete for before the season is over. Job security. With questions raised about his future as well as coach Chan Gailey's, Fitzpatrick can't predict what changes might be coming in January. What he and the team can control is salvaging...

Stevie Johnson makes nifty one-handed grab

Tweet   The Buffalo Bills had a rough time against Seattle on Sunday, becoming the second consecutive team to surrender 50 or more points to the Seahawks. Among the few bright spots for the Bills was wide receiver Stevie Johnson, who had 8 catches for 115 yards, a touchdown, and this one-handed catch that will [...]

Bills sign OL Urbik to extension

Right guard Kraig Urbik signed a contract extension with the Buffalo Bills. Terms were not disclosed. Claimed off waivers from the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2010, Urbik has started 26 of 34 games for the Bills. The Steelers originally selected him as a third-round pick out of Wisconsin in 2009.

Russell Wilson Has Seahawks Peaking Just in Time for Playoffs Which Should Have NFC Teams Worried

A little over a month ago, the Seattle Seahawks had seemingly plateaued and appeared ready for a sharp and sudden plummet back to reality, and presumably the NFC West cellar. But, oh, how things have changed. Coming off a pair of tough losses heading into the second half of the season, Seattle sat with a middling 4-4 record and a treacherous road ahead of them. The same team that...

True or False: Bills/Seahawks Edition

The Bills annual “home game” in Toronto takes place this Sunday against Seattle. The Bills are about finished for this season, but they can play spoiler to the 8-5 Seahawks who are battling for a Wildcard spot. Can the Bills do it? Perhaps. Sick Catch by Buffalo Bills WR Stevie Johnson

If there was one bright spot for the Buffalo Bills in last nights game against the Seattle Seahawks it might have been Stevie Johnson. (or this streaker)  Johnson grabbed 8 balls for 115 yards and a touchdown.  Good day for his fantasy owners to say the least.  The pass shown above however could earn the catch of the year.  Not sure how he hauled that thing in. Check out...

Bills/Seahawks recap: 50-17

I was hanging out in the booth at a fine local bar by my crib. Pretty much I was waiting for the Bills game to come on and brass myself for another disappointing Sunday where Twitter entertains me more than the actual football product. To my right, I noticed a bunch of diehard Steelers fans. I know this has been repeated a few times by me and others, but I've always been envious...
