3 Under the Radar Raiders Who Made the 53-Man Roster
USA TODAY Sports

Like many teams around the league, the Raiders had to make very tough decisions for their final 53-man roster. In total, 26 players on the Raiders were released, waived or placed on the Raiders Reserved/Injured lists.

There are three players on the Raiders' 53-man roster who truly worked hard this training camp and preseason to earn a roster spot. Those three players are wide receiver Kristian Wilkerson, linebacker Curtis Bolton, and offensive lineman Joran Meredith.

All three of these players have spent most of their professional NFL careers on a team's practice squad. Curtis Bolton has played on a total of five different NFL practice squads before playing for the Silver and Black. The Raiders elevated him to the main roster and he played a career-high total of 10 games. He finished this year's Raiders preseason with seven total tackles and forced a fumble for the Silver and Black.

Kristian Wilkerson also had an overall proficient preseason with the Raiders this preseason. He led the league this preseason in receptions with a total of 17. He also finished the preseason with a total of 188 receiving yards and one receiving touchdown. Kristian Wilkerson has also played for the New England Patriots and has four total career games played as a wide receiver in the NFL. Wilkerson could end up being a vital receiver in the Raiders wide receiver room this upcoming season.

The former Western Kentucky Hilltopper Jordan Meredith also ended up making the Raiders' 53-man roster. Meredith signed with the Rams as an UDFA back in 2021 and joined the Raiders last season playing on the Raiders practice squad. This preseason, the offensive lineman earned himself an 83.1  passing grade from Pro Football Focus. Meredith has played a total of one NFL game in his career.

All three of these players have the potential to make an impact at their positons this upcoming season on the Raiders 53-man roster.

The Silver and Black open the regular season at the Denver Broncos on Sunday, Sept. 10, at 4:25 p.m. EDT/1:25 p.m. PDT.
